Prologue

Being born a mermaid wasn't full of comfort like some thought.  I should know.  My mother was a mermaid, and she was killed.  I will never forgive the man who did this to my true family.  I shall use the ocean against him.  How?  I'm a half-blood.  My mother is a mermaid and my father is human.  Both were killed by the same man who is now after me.  My name was once Merine.  However, I found that out by my mother's sister.  My name I go by is Mera.  Some call me Era.  Either way, I'm a mermaid.  A princess mermaid to be exact, and I will never let the person who killed my birth parents get away with it.
