The next morning all four of them woke up with a hangover, not as bad as expected, but still quite grueling. Agnes was due to come back that day, and they knew that if they didn't tidy the huge mess they had made, they'd be in big trouble.
So even with a banging headache, pains all over their body due to the awful positions they passed out/ fell asleep, and general tiredness, they cleaned the place and took showers, getting dressed into clean clothes, and made themselves breakfast.
- God, it's not even 1pm and we already did so much. - Kyle sighed deeply, rubbing his eyes.
They all replied with groans and waves of hands, then slumped down on the couch.
- Urghhh, - Anwen moaned. - I hope we can stay here aaaall day.
- Actually, - Carys said, sitting up straight. - I had something to show you guys before Eus and Agnes came back.
- Hmm, the way to your bed? - Kyle cheekily winked, which made Anwen and Dan burst into fits of laughter, but made Carys frown uncomfortably and stand up.
- No because she's suuuuch a good girl! Wouldn't do anything wrong, ever. - Anwen said, laughing even harder.
- Shut up. - Carys groaned turning around and disappearing going into the corridor.
She got to her father's bureau and entered her secret music room through the side shelves, and once she was inside, slumped down on the brown velvet couch that was there and curled up in a ball, trying not to get upset by what Anwen had said. She didn't let those things get to her, but this one, somehow, really affected her; maybe it was because the boys were there, and they laughed - that could only mean they agreed, right?
She hid her face in between her knees before some small sobs escaped her lips.
''Dude, where is she?'' Dan's voice entered the room coming from outside.
''I don't know, she came this direction, didn't she?'' Kyle answered.
''Well yes but where is she?! What if she's upset?''
Carys froze; what if they found her? No; nobody could know about that place. Only her. Yes, she was going to show them it, but... she wasn't so excited, not even sure anymore.
She quietly slid out of the couch, wiped her tears, plastered on a smile again, and got outside, walking casually into the corridor.
- HEY! - Dan nearly screamed when he saw her. - Are you okay? Where were you? Are you upset?
- I'm alright. - Carys smiled. - I was just taking a look at dad's books. - She shrugged and the boys nodded.
Right when Kyle was about to say something, Anwen strolled in shaking her hips, carrying a bowl of cereal.
- Want some? - She asked with her mouth full, causing them to laugh.
- I'm alright, thanks. - Dan said.
- Nahh, thank you. - Kyle waved his hand.
- I'll get myself some. - Carys quietly said and went into the kitchen, making herself some cereal, while the others went back to the living room.
They slumped back down on the couch and Carys joined them.
- What are we doing today? - Kyle asked.
- We still have to find a job. - Dan nudged him.
- No you don't. - Anwen said.
- We do. - They said at the same time.
- Why don't you guys just record some stuff and put it online instead of going for a ''real'' job? It'll certainly get attention and with attention comes the business. - Carys butted in, before taking a mouth full of her cereal.
They all looked at her, the two boys considering her suggestion.
- But where would we record the songs? We don't even have instruments. There are yours, but still... - Kyle pointed out.
- Well, there's where you're wrong. - Carys smiled, placing the bowl down in the coffee table in front of them, getting up and walking towards the place she was before.
The three of them curiously watched her for a moment or two, before they went over to where she was, and found the secret music room, with Carys standing there in the middle, grinning.
- Why didn't you tell me about this?! - Anwen nearly screamed as she walked over to the bass and strummed it.
- It's my, uh, hiding place. When I need to be alone I come here. But not anymore, I guess. - The blonde mumbled, strolling over to the keyboard, where she stood next to Kyle.
- And why did you show it to us? - Dan asked, looking up from the music sheets placed in the desk in front of him.
- Because you need to record some songs and post them online and be successful, recognized, and earn money. - She smiled. - And then leave us if you want to.
- And once again you're helping us. - Kyle smiled down at her and she nodded.
- You've been the best company I have ever had, so it's nothing but fair that I give you what you need. - Carys looked down at her hands brushing over the keys. - Even if that means helping you get away, because if that's what you want... I won't change your mind. I just want the best for you.
