Isaac's P.O.V

My eyes began to flutter open, I began to look around my surroundings but suddenly an indescribable pain coursed through my body. I let out a loud scream and shut my eyes, tears rolling out of them faster them I thought was possible. The pack doctor, my parents, and the Luna burst into the room. My mother rushed over to the bed and touched my forehead. I was gripping the sheets so hard the began to tear.

"M-mom" I managed to get out through all the pain. "Help me ple-please, it hurts so much." My mom's eyes teared up as she looked at the pack doctor.

"Help my son! Please, I'll do anything." My mom pleaded to the doctor.

The pack doctor walked to me and examined my emotion and body movement before asking me "Have you found your mate?"
Hearing that word made me sob even more but this sobbing was caused by my emotions. I managed to nod my head once at the doctor. My parent's eyes both widened since this information is new to them. "Hmm, well it seems though your mate is having sex with another," the doctor said.

"He's not my mate." Everyone in the room froze once I said he. "He rejected me." I sobbed out burying my face in my knees. The Luna walked over to me and gave me a tight hug. The Luna was always like a second mother to me since Tyler and I were always so close. Key word: were.

"It's okay," She muttered into my hair "he'll come around." she whispered before letting go and letting my dad come to me.

In my father's eyes were tears that wanted to fall but he held them back. He shook his head before wiping his eyes and giving me a kiss on the forehead.

My mother was the last to see me was my mom. Tears covered her face. She bent down giving me a kiss on the cheek "I love you, I'm so sorry." I nodded and they all stepped out.

Tears would not stop coming out of my eyes and the pain hasn't decreased mentally or physically.

"H-how long does th-this last?" I stuttered.

"Until your ex-mate is finished," He said. "You're free to go to your room, you were here since pack warriors found you fainted outside." I nodded before pushing myself out of the bed. I started to walk out but my legs felt extremely weak. I barely made it to the stairs. I took a seat on the stair, I was crying.

"Isaac?" I heard a voice ring. I looked up to find Dakota. "What's wrong man?"

"Nothing," I answered wiping my tears as fast as I could.

"Well okay then don't tell me" He laughed. I smiled slightly. "You don't have to, but quick question." I raised my eyebrows wanting to know what the question is. "Will frozen yogurt make it better?" He asked.

I stopped crying and smiled. "Frozen yogurt makes everything better," I stated.

"We'll if that's the case then let's go, motherfucker!" He yelled.

"So when are you planning to tell me what's wrong?" Dakota asked before shoving a spoonful of frozen yogurt into his mouth. 

Should I tell him? I mean why the fuck not, he is one of my best friends. "I got rejected," I said as bluntly as I could trying my best to hide the pain in my voice. 

Dakota's eyes widened and his mouth slightly opened in shock. "What women in their right mind would be stupid enough to reject the Beta?" Oh if only he knew. I shrugged not wanting to give him any details. "Hey, look don't worry. I've been there." Dakota mutters so quietly that I almost didn't hear him. 

"What do you mean?" He's been in the state I'm currently in? Did he get rejected? I mean Dakota is around 7 months older than me but I assumed that he just couldn't feel the bond yet. 

"I've gotten rejected before," He says. I stare at him in absolute shock, how come I never knew this? Does anyone else know this? Dakota must've understood the shock on my face because a chuckled slightly. 

"Would you please care to elaborate?" I asked. 

"Don't make fun of me after I say it, man." He said. What could this be about? I nodded my head slowly waiting.

He inhaled a large breath of air. "My mate was a guy." My eyes widened. Was Dakota mated to a guy too? "He didn't want me, he wanted a girl mate." He said you could now hear the pain in Dakota's voice.  I sucked my teeth. I wanted to fucking kill them. I wanted to fucking kill whoever rejected one of my best friends. Put him through all the pain. The same pain that Tyler is now putting me through. 

"Well, then how come you're not like me? Does it get better?" I asked. 

He shook his head a few times. "I asked the Elder to break our bond. I couldn't take the pain anymore.I couldn't take the days of me on the bed just sobbing over him anymore. I just wanted to be happy, I still love him though, I will never stop loving him but I've accepted the fact that he will never love me." Dakota says. He wipes a tear rolling down his cheek and looks away. 

"Can I just ask one question?" He nodded. "Who is it?

He cleared his throat before muttering a name that was almost inaudible but I heard what he said and I wish I didn't hear what he said. 

"Oli."
