Chapter Two

Jesse Miller is the boy of my dreams. Not just because he’s the most gorgeous guy in the school, but because he is the sweetest boy I have ever met. I haven’t really had a full on conversation with him. He says hi now and then but that’s it. He doesn’t even acknowledge im there. Well, why would he I’m just… normal. Just geeky, standard me. That’s not the only part of it though. Everything changed when Ava moved here. She started coming to our school in May last year and ever since then, Jesse has never left her side. As soon as he saw her he kept saying that she was the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. He started to talking to her more and more, they became close and now they’re just totally inseparable. Great.

So they’ve been together now for over a year and he still doesn’t see her as the selfish, evil cow she really is.

Someone violently grabs me from behind.

“Boo!”

“Ow!” I turn round to see Scarlet hysterically laughing behind me. “Thanks alot.” I say sarcastically.

“Your welcome.” She grins.

I’m still turning back to see Jesse. So sexy!  Scarlet is Jesse’s older sister. So she’s obviously as beautiful as he is. The first time I met her was in a gymnastics competition where she totally kicked my butt. She’s the reason I first met Jesse.

From the beginning she always noticed how I looked at him. She finally figured out what I was thinking and ever since then she’s always known what’s on my mind.

“So, you’re thinking about him again then?”

See what I mean.

“Who?” I say pretending to be all confused.

“JUSTIN BIEBER? Who do you think?”

“Yeah well, kinda”

“Don’t you think about anything else besides my annoying little brother?”

“Of course it’s just.... every time I see him with Her I think ‘are you serious? Why on earth her?’

“By Her you mean Ava right? I can’t stand her either I wanna slap her across her stupid, small, misshapen head!”

I’m daydreaming…

“Hellloo Ebony?, is anyone there?” she waves her hands back and forth in front of my face.

“Sorry I was miles away.”

“I know you were. Come to mine after school I need to talk to you badly.”

Her face is serious.

“Okay. See you later then.”

“Bye, Jesse lover” she whispers as she skips gracefully away.

The rest of the day is so boring it was unbelievable. The school bell finally rang. So I met Scarlet and Mia and we walked to Scarlet’s house.

“So what did you bring me here for” I say as I sat down on her incredibly comfy sofa.

“We need to do something about Ava.”

“What?” I say with a worried face.

“Well, obviously you’re blatantly the one for Jesse not her, so we need him to somehow see what she’s really like so he dumps her for you.”

“How though, he doesn’t even like me.”

“We’ll make him like you duh.”

“Oh, right.”

“So let’s make a plan.”

We spent the next two hours, thinking of ways to make Jesse notice me and to reveal the truth about Ava. After, when I get home, I crash land straight  on my bed and curl up into a ball. I’m so tired but I just can’t sleep. I really hope this plan is going to work.
