castle POV

Beckett walked out of the bathroom with a bead of sweat on her forehead that she wiped away once she saw me, and tried forcing a smile. I could tell that she wasn't well; she walked past me,

"You coming Castle," she questioned me as she walked towards the murder board and stood there looking at it. Doing the adorable thing when she holds her hand up on her chin and is deeply in thought. This time was different though, her faced looked as if she were holding back pain. One thing that bugged me about Beckett is she never tells you when she is hurting, if she needed help. I walked over to her starring at my feet, then up at her.

"Beckett, wanna see if Gates will let us go home a little early today I'm a little tired." She forced a smile to mask the pain from her awful headache.

"Ya I'll go ask Gates I'm actually a little tired too." I walked over to Captain Gated office with her, Gates wasn't in there. Beckett turned towards me, "That's weird she never leaves early, I wonder where she went?" Beckett's phone started to ring it was Lanie. They talked for a while on the phone, I just waited until she finally hung up. "Looks like we're not going home early today Castle, Lanie found something." Beckett and I walked together to the morgue where Lanie was. Kate stopped in the middle of the hallway, I turned around to see her sweating and short winded I stopped and grabbed her arm and put my hand around her waist as she was about to fall to the floor.

"Kate," my voice was stuttering my palms were sweating and my heart felt like it was gonna pop out of my chest. "Somebody call an ambulance" my voice yelled through the precinct. Kate's eyes slowly shut and her body got heavier in my arms as she didn't use her strength to hold herself up. "Kate." my voice whimpered. I held her in my arms as I let the tears stream down my face.
