I woke up, and slowly let my eyes open. I looked around the room slowly and looked down at the mattress and saw Ellie sleeping, the world was quiet and I got up from my bed and trotted down to the stairs and got out a big mixing bowl. I got out an egg, flour and milk and began mixing it until combined and poured a small circle onto a pan until they went golden then flipped them. About 5 minutes after, I heard running and saw Ellie at the table. I smiled at her attitude and put one on her plate. After equally dividing between us I heard more footsteps and saw my mother and sister in the doorway.
"are you not giving us any?" Eva asked scowling
"Question is if you deserve any" Ellie said rudely
"oh well. Mummy and I are going out to a café for breakfast anyway" Eva said flipping her hair and leaving the house with mum
I looked at the ground, and held back the tears and smiled. I sat down opposite Ellie and we dug into our pancakes. Ellie and I grabbed blankets and set up the Netflix on the tv and binged movies.
"Zootopia!" I yell at Ellie hitting her with pillows
"No! Shrek" She yelled back at me
We continued to argue about it for a while and then decided on Zootopia. After Zootopia we played Uno and then Ellie tapped my shoulder to answer the door. I walked up to the door and looked through the peephole. It was my Aunt Cassy. I opened the door to be swamped by a hug, Ellie came out and greeted her and they took a seat at the table while I made coffee and got some biscuits.
"I got new hearing aids" My aunt told me as I read her lips and she handed be a pouch with my new ones. I thanked her and put them in, glad I could hear their voices.
"how's college girls? Any potential love interests" My aunt asked happily
"nah. And college is good" I said and Ellie blushed and my aunt and I turned to face her
"you like someone and didn't tell me?" I asked Ellie, who blushed deeper
"Well there is this boy who has been in our grade and he went to our old school...he is pretty cool" she said biting her lip
We chatted for a while until the door opened and my mother and sister came in, my mother scowled at my aunt being here.
"what are you doing here Cassy?" my mother asked sharply
"I came to give Aria her hearing aids" My Aunt said smiling at me
"and? You go wasting your money on expensive hearing aids that get broken anyway because she can't look after them "my mother spat
I looked at the ground, she didn't know about the bullying...she didn't care.
I gave my aunt a hug as she went to leave and Ellie and I got ready to go out.
We caught a bus to the city and went to the library to read some books, on the way back into the city we passed a skate park and we stopped momentarily to watch the boys do their tricks.
"Lucien! You're late!" a voice said as a motorcycle arrived at the skatepark carpark.
Ellie and I watched as we saw a male roughly our age, get off the motor bike and go over to the boys skating. As they began skating we were impressed and walked off to do some clothes shopping. About 3pm I got home and began on homework. around 10 pm i let sleep take me
