.......17 years later.........
"Here jake"
Tyler threw over a can of Pepsi
"Thanks ty"
Tyler was Jakes adoptive brother. They were closer then anything.
" so when do you get off work I was going to head down to the falls"
" I'm off in an hour but I'm in" jake said opening his Pepsi.
" wow" jake said leaning back " who's that"
Tyler sat back in his chair. That is the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She had long brown silky think hair. Her bright blue eyes were brought out by her thin waist. She wore a denim jean jacket with a bright blue tank top under neath. Her shorts were a bright white.
"She's beautiful" Tyler said in awe
"Correction, Tyler she's hot" jake chuckled at his description.
Tyler just rolled his eyes.
"Beat ya twenty you can't get her number" jakes squinting eyes met with Tyler's.
"Your on!"
Why did I agree to this, Tyler thought as he stood up and walked over. His heart was beating a mile a minute.
" h-hey is this seat taken" shit I blew it. Who stutters!!! Tyler was never good with girls. They always seemed to throw him off.
"Sure"  the girl said offering a hand to the chair.
"Thanks, I'm Tyler" he said pulling the chair out and sitting down.
"I'm Maddie, nice to meet you" she said with a little smile, making things a bit less awkward.
" I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything" he had  noticed the laptop she had been typing on.
"Oh no it's just a little writing I do here and there"
"Cool, what type"
"Well mostly fiction but I don't really publish anything"
Tyler didn't know what it was about here but he found him self lost in conversation.
"Well I better get going, it was nice meeting you Tyler"
Tyler stood up his muscular body stretched out, as he got up.
"You to" he walked back to the table Jake and him as been at. He slouched as he sat back in his chair.
"So..... how it go" jake said looking down at Tyler well wiping off his table.
"How do you think it went, I can't talk to girls for the life of me jake!"
" was it really that bad" he always knew Tyler was the worst when it came to talking or even interacting of any sort with girls.
" yes, it was worse then that. It was like I couldn't speak, I stuttered jake I  freaking stuttered"
Jake gave Tyler a smirk.
" are you really smiling at how bad it did" Tyler reached in his pocket
" I assume you want your twenty right" Tyler said rolling his eyes.
" I wouldn't be to sure that she didn't like you" he said gesturing  his head to look behind me. As I turned around I saw her walking toward me with a small peace of paper she ripped of her bill.
"You forgot to get my number" Maddie said with a little laugh .
"Haha looks like I forgot that part" Tyler said well rubbing the side of his arm. Man I look like an idiot don't I. He thought to himself. He stuffed the number in his pocket.
" I hope you plan on using that" she chuckled.
"Oh trust me, I will"  did I really just say that.
" ok well ill see you around" she gave him a smile and walked away.
" I didn't know you had it in you kid"  jake said as he gave his brother a shake oh his head.
" you really have to stop calling me kid, it gets annoying"
" ok well I got to get back to work, I'll see ya in about twenty minutes"
"Oh hey jake" Tyler said as jake started to walk away .  Jake turned around with a confused look on his face.
" speaking of twenty" Tyler said with a smile.
"Pffft, I'll get it to you later"
" I'm counting on that jake!"
