The smell of the woods always seemed to bring comfort to me. We started to drive threw willows creek, the dust flying from beneath the wheels. As I felt the wind skimming me arm which was half way out the window, we turned down the dirt road that lead to the cabin.
About fifteen to twenty minutes later we arrived.
"Can you grab the cooler?"I said as I turned off the engine.
"Yea, sure"
I opened the door to the Chevy and headed to the box of the truck. I swung two bags over the back and stared to take them inside the cabin.
"So when do you plan on calling the girl" Jake said carrying our blue cooler inside the old cabin.
"Well" I automatically just assumed I'd never talk or see her ever again. "Umm"
"Tyler don't tell me your gay!" Is he serious. Does it even matter if I was, but to be clear I was 100% straight and he didn't understand that it's horrible having my flirting skills.
"Just cause I don't think she likes me doesn't mean I'm gay" I said dropping off the bags in the bed rooms.
"Well then get a girl every now and
then and ill believe you"
"You don get it, I'm terrible with girls!"
"Sorry buddy, but for real this might be your chance"
" shut up and help me unpack for the night" I said throwing over a bag and laughing.
"Nope your calling her right now" he said letting the bag drop to the ground.
"But"
"No buts I don't want my brother turning out to be afraid of girls now do I" he grabbed my phone off the counter and the paper that I was holding with her number .
"I'm not to sure about this"
"It'll be fine just text the damn girl, or else I just waisted twenty dollars"
"Okay"

TYLER: Hey
MADDIE: hey
TYLER : what's up
MADDIE: nothing much hbu
TYLER:nothing
MADDIE: cool
TYLER: very, so I was wondering if you wanted to catch a movie or somthing later this week?
MADDIE: sounds good are you busy tmr around 9:30
TYLER:I have a job interview but I'm good for 9:40
MADDIE: 9:40 it is I'll see you there

"So..... what did she say" jake asked well he was pouring a glass of lemonade.
" we're going to see a movie tomorrow" I said looking up from my phone in disbelief.
"Atta boy buddy" jake said elbowing my shoulder as I walked in to the kitchen.
"What am I even supposed to do on a date?" Man I was clueless.
"Just be nice, so you want a drink?"
"Sure"
Grabbing a cup from the cupboard, I slid it to him over the granite island In The middle of the kitchen.
"Thanks" I said to jake picking up the lemonade and having a drink.
"I think I'm going to sleep"
"Ok, you do have a big day ahead of ya ty" he said laughing as I walked passed him and into my room. It was a small bed room with a double bed in the middle. A little walk in closet which kept the only things I had as a little kid. I walked over and picked up a necklace. I think it was my parents but i don't know. It was two adults. The guy had his arm around the girl who was holding her stomach and you could tell she was pregnant . Her hand had some type of tattoo that had a name with a heart. It was to hard to see the name. I held the locket necklace thing in my hand as I slept. It was the only thing I had of them. Who ever they were.
