My family is discussing the logic and technicalities of the Back to the Future time machine car. Turns out everyone who went through with the experiment should be dead as the time machine doesn't travel through space. Even if you manage to avoid the vacuum of space by some miracle, you are probably going to end up in the sun or center of a planet. The Earth is moving at 36,000 m/s. If you multiply that by the 60 seconds that Einstein traveled back at the beginning and add in the factor that it was nighttime, that dog should've landed in the center of the Earth.
We started talking about how my dad probably has a whiteboard at work, which he does, in order to build a time machine. Turns out when he was in Germany there was a whiteboard filled to the brim with math and coding. It scared some people. He would add something and then his co-worker would cross something out, it was a collaborative project.
Anyone wanna have a debate in the comments?
