Chapter 5

Adam's perspective

i woke up to find Eve on my couch. i was confused at first but then remembered. i decided to make us some breakfast so i started making pancakes. its been a while since I've made pancakes so i hope they are good. a few minutes later i see her in the corner of my eye. we eat and she, thankfully, likes the pancakes. after hanging for a bit she leaves. I was alone again in my apartment. sitting there thinking I absolutely love this woman. I had to go shopping again so i grabbed my coat, keys, shoes, and left. at the store there was a little girl. i kept seeing her around. her mom was with her and every time they passed something the little girl would ask it. the mother handled it really well and i couldn't stop myself from seeing Eve do that one day with our child. what am i saying we aren't even dating how could i already be picturing our children. i grabbed what i needed and went home.

when i got back i could hear Eve having an argument with her roommate, Olive i think it was. then their door opened and Eve was dressed in the prettiest outfit i could imagine. she slightly smiled at me with a little wave as she walked down stairs. confused and breath taken i went inside. why was she dressed like that?did she have a boyfriend i didn't know about? i guess i'll have to figure out later. i began to make dinner. I guess i'll have some real food tonight. I put a pot on the stove to cook and started cutting potatoes. I placed them in the pot of water and grabbed some steak from the freezer. I cut it up and fried it on a pan soon dinner was ready so I grabbed a plate and began to eat. I watched TV for a couple of hours then decided to wash the dishes. I cleaned the apartment and made my bed. I don't know why but i was in a cleaning mood. I then went down stairs to wash my clothes. that took about an hour and a half so i came back up and put everything away. I might as well take a shower i thought. so i grabbed a towel and headed for the bathroom. I undressed and let the warm water run down my back. I couldn't get Eve out of my head. she looked so damn hot in that dress. i washed my hair and got out of the shower. it was 8:56 pm and it looked like it had started raining. with nothing else to do I got on my computer. then i heard Eve in the hallway. she was ,what sounded like, kicking her door. then it stopped. i went out to see what was happening. i found her sitting on the floor in front of her apartment with her hands covering her face. her clothes where completely soaked in rain water. "are you ok?" she looked up and her face was covered in tears."oh ya" she said with a half hearted smile wiping away tears."my roommate just locked me out" she wasn't looking at me like she normally does in a conversation so I invited her in. she got up and came inside. "uh do you want to borrow some sweat pants or something?" she looked down at her soaked outfit and said ya. her voice sounded sad and tired. she had her shoes in her hand but i didn't see a phone or keys or anything. i grabbed her a pair of sweats and a shirt, good thing i washed all my cloths today. she changed and then met me on the couch. "I heated you up some steak and potatoes" i say handing her the plate. she takes it and we sit in silence while she eats and the TV is playing. she puts the plate down on the table "ha thanks for this" she seems to be back to her normal happy self so i figure shes alright. "so what where you doing out in the rain in a dress?" she looked down and gave me a slight chuckle. "Olive insisted that i went on a date. she had already planned it without my knowing so i went cause it couldn't hurt right. she took my keys, purse, and phone so that i would have to rely on him completely. we where having a great time but then his ex girlfriend showed up and he left me on the side of the street miles away from home. i had no money so i couldn't get a cab or call anyone. so i had to walk. about half way there it began to rain. i took off my shoes and started running, but by the time i got home i was soaked. Olive isn't home so i had to just sit there. i got mad so i kicked the door. then i guess i broke cause i fell down and began to cry. that's when you showed up." she had some tears in her eyes but she still had a smile. i gave her a hug i wasn't even thinking she hugged me back and i could feel her grip on my shirt. this is the first time we have actually touched and it's a hug not even a handshake or anything. eventually she drifted off to sleep in my arms, and before i knew it i was asleep too. 

I woke up with her cuddled up next to me. her hand was on my chest holding onto my shirt and her leg was slightly on top of mine. she looked peaceful sleeping there. i smiled and turned to the TV. I turned it on and began to watch random TV shows. about 15 minutes later she woke up. half asleep she moved over on top of me, rubbing her eyes. I don't think she realized that i'm here yet. she opened her eyes and saw me staring at her and she just sat up straddaling me. reality kicked in and i could see her face get red from blushing. "oh sorry I didn't realize you where there" she stuttered. I wasn't thinking strait and i sat up making her slide down off my stomach and onto my crotch. she made a slight sound and it was really adorable. at this point we are both red in the face and unable to speak or move. i could feel the terrified look appear on my face once i realized i had a boner. we just sat there staring at each other. how could i be so stupid i had to move. at an attempt to make it less awkward i tried speaking but only weird whimpering sounds came out. great now she thinks i'm a baby. i couldn't think of anything else to do so i kissed her. it seemed to work cause she began kissing back. i could feel the heat coming off of her face and i'm sure she could feel mine as well. we broke off and we finally where able to move. she slid off me onto the floor and sat there. "ha sorry about that" she said nervously with her face still flushed red. "ya um no problem"
