Chapter 11

Eves perspective 

its been about a week since the wedding and today i got a letter from my mom. up until now she had been helping me pay for rent and stuff, but today she said that i had a month to get a job and so i went job hunting. I went through a couple of places but ended up getting a job right on the spot at some drink place. we sell all kinds of drinks for all different ages. today is my first day working and so i don't really know what to do. "hey Eve come over here and help me" i hear my boss say from the back room. "what do you need" i say popping into the doorway. he looks over and hands me a box. "this is filled with cups go put some in the front." i take the box and make my way out. we open in 30 minutes and there is still so much to do. i kneel down and start taking out the cups. when i was finished there where still cups in the box so i decided to bring them back to my boss. "hey there where extra cups in the box." i say walking in. "oh that's fine just put it down over there." he says pointing to the corner of the room. "is there anything else i need to do?" i ask placing the box on the floor. "actually ya i need you to check over this to see who else i should let work here along with you." i took the papers and go through the many different people. "um well i think you should go with this one." i say giving him the paper. it was a boy named Jason he is a junior in high school. he looks nice with black hair and grey eyes. "i just think that we should give the job to the kid. there are only so many jobs teens can apply for." i think what i said definitely persuaded my boss. he looked at the paper nodded then went to call the boy. i figured i would go clean off the tables again and mop the floor just in case. when i was finished it was opening time so i went to stand by the counter. the first few minutes where boring but then costumers came in one by one. 

after my shift was over i jumped into my car and started going home. i turned on the radio and started listening to the music humming along. when i got home Adam was asleep on the couch. i walked over and gently shook his shoulder. "Adam wake up" i said softly. "hmm oh Eve you're home great how was work?" he said barley opening his eyes. "it was great do you want to go to bed?" he got up and walked to his room without a word. i decided to take a shower so i grabbed a towel and started to undress in the bathroom. after the shower i grabbed a bowl of cereal and then went to bed. 

i woke up and jumped out of bed. i got dressed and ran out the door. "by Adam see you after work" i barley made it there on time. when i did get there i saw Jason talking to Troy. "hi boss" i say walking up to them. "you know you can call me by my name." "oh sorry Troy" i say laughing. "so is this Jason" i say looking at the boy in front of me. " ya i know you are pretty new here yourself but your all i got. so i want you to show him how everything works. i have to go to my nieces birthday party so i wont be around today, don't blow up my store please." he says waving behind him as he walked out he door. "so hi i'm Eve" i say holding out my hand. he took it and introduced himself. no that he needed to cause i obviously already knew his name. "well lets get started" i say walking over showing him how everything works. except a few bumps here and there the day went pretty smoothly. I got to learn a little about Jason and his life. 

i packed up and left right when Troy got back. i got in my car and started driving out. i got back a few hours earlier then i did yesterday so Adam was still awake. "hey welcome home" he says kissing me. Adam has a job too but he works from home so i can see why he is so happy to see me every time. "hey how about we go out tonight" i say looking at him shyly. "as long as you dress up" i smile and give him another kiss. " deal"

hey, sorry i haven't updated in forever. my computer is not the best and the fan is broken on it so i cant really be on it for a long period of time before it over heats and i cant even move the mouse. i fixed it though by getting a window fan and propping my laptop on top of tissue boxes while the fan blows on it.  also i got a new keyboard so ya i can now push the eight key 88888. (it was stuck on my last keyboard so it was really hard pushing it) anyway thanks for reading i'll try my hardest to update more!!!
