The music got louder as the trio slowly made their way to the end of the hall in a group to glance over the banister to see the activity below.

The hall was full of white ghostly versions of the guests that had attended the original party seventeen years ago, each repeating what they had done so long ago. They almost appeared to be wisps of smoke dancing on the wind if you didn't know any better.

Troy took the entire scene in; it almost looked like fun if not for the circumstances. "Should we warn them? Evacuate the place?" he asked.

"No need," Peter said, "They have no idea that anything is going on around them, no time has passed and tonight is like the first time all over again."

"Plus, it's not like this is the first time this has happened." Peter replied.

Toke slapped the mortal on the arm absentmindedly then pointed a ghostly hand down to a far doorway on the main floor that led to the parlor.

"Check it out; it's that freaky singing bitch!"

Peter followed the finger and there indeed stood the strange woman who had just kicked their asses only moments ago.

"What's she doing down there?" Troy asked.

"What is her role in all this?" toke answered with his own question; scanning the crowded floor as the chandelier hanging before them began glowing a brighter shade of green, exposing the specters below for what they really were.

"Let's find out." Peter replied as he shoved past his friends and made his way down the staircase two steps at a time making his way towards the festivities.

Toke and Troy were close behind and as they made it to the ground floor, the lights started to change from green to an almost florescent black light color.

Peter shoved his way through the vividly lit costumed crowd towards the lady in white, and was almost there when a strong ghostly hand grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks.

Peter turned to see he was being restrained by only to come face to face with the old bearded man.

"Let go of me old man, you wanted out help you got it." he tried to pull away but the man's grip only tightened more.

"Events have started that cannot be undone Mr. Worthers. Time is up. You may very well be too late." he replied, but Peter was having none of his nonsense.

"Let me go so I can at least try you old bastard." he pulled more, but the grip would not loosen.

The old man's eyes began to glow a bright green, "Do not insult me Mr. Worthers, there are powers at work here that you cannot understand."

"I don't want to understand it, I want to kill that psycho and save Ashley and her son." he screamed over the music.

That was when the mood around him changed in an instant. The ghostly white glow from all around began to darken before his eyes as Toke and Troy joined him. The music that was filling the air stopped and was replaced with silence.

"What do you have to do with this? Are you trying to stop us? Maybe you're the one behind all this?" Toke demanded of the old man, he faced the spirit to see his eyes glowing a brighter green than before.

"I am not the one you need to worry about Mr. Kincade." he replied in a deep voice.

A flash, then another, like someone turning on and off a light switch; as the scene came into view once more Peter could see every apparition in the room now had the same green glowing eyes as the old man.
