The two spirits found themselves standing in a great hall that almost seemed too large to have fit in this house, yet here it stood in its deserted and run down glory.
There was a huge chandelier hanging above them and before them was a large spiral staircase which led to the second story high above them. To their right were a few doorways, none with doors so you could look right into the rooms they led to.
There were three wooden doors to the left of them against a far wall across from the staircase, in the back of the room.
But other than that, Toke noticed that he and Troy were the only entities in the room, not even the butler had followed them in.
He began to wonder where Peter and Ashley were since he could hear no sounds in the entire house save the sounds of him and Troy.
He paused in the middle of the hall and looked back at the open doorway where the butler was sticking his head in after them. "As I said, "he replied his voice echoing through the hall, "You're early. If you will please wait, the other guests should be arriving shortly."
As Toke raised a finger to say something, but the servant closed the door leaving Toke and Troy all alone, then the room went dark.
All was quiet for a moment, Toke blinked in an attempt to quickly get his eyes used to the darkness, then turned to Troy.
"If you will please wait, the other guests should be arriving shortly." he said in a goofy English impression of the butler, tongue sticking out the entire time, followed by a lower than usual evil laugh that seemed to slightly echo through the house.
Troy shook his head slightly, "He wasn't English, was he?"
Toke shrugged, his voice starting to get on the high side, a sign he was agitated, "How the hell should I know, all I do know is that he was strait out of the rocky Horror Picture Show along with the Addams family home here. He locks us in this dungeon and maybe if we're lucky he'll give us some bread and water."
It took a few moments of silence before Troy finally asked, "Dude, where's Pete?"
Toke then looked around suddenly as if he was desperately looking for a way out.
"I don't know." he took a glance up the spiral staircase as if it would help, then yelled in a whisper, "Pete you in here?" the call echoed, but no reply echoed back.
Troy walked past him, over to the three closed doors located in a narrow hallway beside the staircase, one door to his left and right and the third before him. He heard Toke call for Peter again behind him, but paid no attention until he heard the creaking.
Troy shushed Toke up and tried to listen closely to where the noise was coming from. Once he heard it again he noted that it sounded like feet walking up a staircase in desperate need of WD-40.
Toke had now hovered up behind him, "The hell is going on?" he asked but Troy hushed him up again, and together they listened and could hear the creaking. Toke motioned to the door directly before them, and Troy nodded, there was indeed something behind door number one and Toke was sure it wasn't a new car.
Toke bravely reached for the door knob and glanced back at Troy, "You got my back? Cause whatever is behind this door is gonna get a can of whoop ass dead dude style."
Troy shook his head, "There's no way in hell I'm going anywhere near there."
"What are you afraid of, a ghost jumping out at you? What do you have to loose anyhow, you're dead remember?" and as if on cue there began a banging sound from behind the door as if someone were trying to break out of the room beyond. The noise was so loud and so sudden that it made both spirits jump out of their ectoplasm.
