Hermione

I shot awake, breathing heavy. Within seconds I was in Draco's arms.

"Shh, calm down," he murmured.

Something about him always helped me relax. My breathing slowed dramatically and a relaxed into his chest.

"I hate nightmares," I mumbled.

He slowly rubbed my back and loosely had his arms around my body. I put my arms around his neck and pressed our lips together.

He kissed me back for a couple seconds before pulling back.

"Can we go see Rose?" I asked, still shaken from my dream.

"Yeah, let's go," he agreed.

He gently picked me up.

"I can walk," I told him.

"You're not supposed to be on it," he stated.

"I'm fi-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence, Granger," he snapped.

"But I am," I mumbled.

"Don't be childish, Hermione. You're an adult. You need rest to let yourself heal," he stated.

I grumbled as he carried me into the room Rose was in. I heard her crying as Draco walked in. A nurse was attempting to feed her but Rose wasn't going to have it. She only ever let me or Draco feed her.

The nurse sighed in relief when she saw us.

"Thank heavens you two are here. I was afraid I would have to wake one of you. She's hungry but she won't eat," the nurse stated.

Draco set me down in a chair, so the nurse handed him Rose. He took the bottle from the nurse and began to feed Rose instead.

I was smiling as I watched Draco feeding our baby. He was lightly rocking her and moving around on his feet. Rose finished the bottle and was dozing in Draco's arms. He was humming softly and rocking her. It was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen.

I slowly stood up when his back was turned, and leaned on his shoulder. He smiled for a second before it turned into a glare.

"You should be sitting," he stated.

"And you should mind your own business," I snapped.

"You are my business," he shot back.

I made a frustrated noise and folded my arms.

"Grow up," he said, rolling his eyes.

"Shut up," I snapped back.

He sighed and laid Rose back down in her crib thing. He wordlessly scooped me up, so he was holding me bridal style and took me back to our room.

He set me on the bed and sat in the chair next to it. I crossed my arms again and rolled so my back was to him.

"Hermione," he sighed, "don't be like this."

I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, but I didn't have a way of knowing he was here. He wasn't beside me or holding my hand. I started to think about what could happen. The other Malfoy's were never caught. Neither was Bellatrix. They could come back for me ,or worse, Rose. Draco reassured me that Lucius and Narcissa would have killed Bellatrix for endangering their son's life, but I was afraid those two would come for me.

"Are you okay. I didn't mean to upset-"

I couldn't take it anymore. I threw my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shoulder. He was shocked for a moment but quickly recovered. His arms wound around my waist and he rested his head on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled.

"I'm sorry too," he mumbled back.

I snuggled up to him and relaxed.

"Lay with me?" I asked, trying to pull him down.

"No, Hermione. We've been through this," he stated.

"But-"

"No."

I held onto him tighter and tried to pull him down. He stated put. I tried with all I had to move him. Nothing. He was a rock. He moved off the bed and returned to the chair beside it.

"Draco," I sighed, trying to pull him back.

"Get some rest," he muttered.

I sighed and lied my head down. I passed out.
