Green's House

[Red's POV]

"Here we are, Red!" Green announced as he invited me inside his house.

Wow... Things have changed since I've been here... His place has more space than before...

Green stared at me "What are you waiting for? Come inside, I'll make us some coffee" he said, walking toward the kitchen.

I stopped him "I don't drink coffee... Is it okay if you just give me water?" I asked, with a nervous voice.

Green gave me a thumbs up "No problem, what are friends for?" he winked at me and walked inside the kitchen.

I sat against the couch and sighed deeply "Haaa..." Somehow, I feel like I'm digging my own grave...

Why did I agree to go to his house? I'd never thought Green would go through the trouble to invite me here. Except...

What kind of things couples do?
Um... They talk?
Um... Go on dates...?
And... Um...
Uh... Catch pokemon together?

I have no idea how this is suppose to be done... I wonder how does it work? I can't seem to understand this at all.

"Red! I got your drink, are you okay?" Green asked as he place me glass of water on the couch table.

I nodded "I'm fine..." Green smiled at me and sat next to me on the couch. He tilted his head back against the couch and asked "Did you mean what you said? When you asked me to be your lover..." I looked over to Green and felt surprised that he'd ask me about it.

I slowly nodded my head "Yeah... I do..." I replied with the same neutral voice. Green became silent for a moment and then spoke "I know I said I'd do anything to make it up to you but... Why me?" he asked bluntly.

Green is asking? Why? Didn't I already explain? Well... The truth is that I want to know if what Gold said was true... If I'm in love with Green? I had to convince Green to date me for an experimental purpose. If what Gold said is true then, is it the same with Green too?

I sighed coldly "Obviously because you have experience with romance and you were the one who offered to help me..." I said directly, and I noticed the shocked look on Green's face.

"Ha! How cruel of you to say, dear..." Green coldly replied, resting his head on the palm of his hand that was leaning against the couch's arm "Is there anything nice you can say for once?" Green sighed.

Somehow this made me feel discomfort, I don't want Green to feel like I'm using him... Although I really am... Which sounds pretty cruel... I guess.

I took a deep breath and muttered quietly "I...need...you..." I felt embarrassed by my words and used my hat to cover my bashful face. Green turned his attention to me "Red? Did you say something?" I quickly shook my head "No it's nothing..." I guess he didn't hear me, maybe it's better he didn't.

We flinched as heard the front door knocking loudly "GREEN! Are you in there!?" a mysterious voice shouted on the other side of the door.

"Yeah, yeah... I'm coming!" Green shouted, as he got up and answered the door.

[Green's POV]

It's strange, Leaf asked me to meet her here but, she isn't present at all. Where is she?

I wondered to myself and opened the door to our random guest "What do you want now, Ruby?" I asked.

Ruby smiled "Here to ask for a battle! Right now!" he announced to me with pride and invited himself into my house.

Brat...

"Oh? What's Red doing here?" Ruby asked pointing at Red, who was ignoring us and watching Tv.

I laughed nervously "Red is just visiting, that's all!" I said, but then Ruby squinted his eyes at me.

Ruby raised his eyebrows "Are you sure that's why he's here? It seems out of his character..." he said and looked unsure.

Red spoke "I'm here because Green and I are d-!"

"Doing a battle strategy for next years Pokemon Battle! Hahaha!" I interrupted and glared at Red, who was surprisingly smirking at me.

Red stared at me "Yeah, except Green's strategy sucked even more than when he tried to face me..." he smirked at his last remark.

'Why you little s-!'

Ruby laughed "Well, well, well! Red's become way more interesting to hang with!" he said, walking inside and sat next to Red "Hey, Red! How would you and Green like to go to a get together party we're having tonight?" he asked.

Red and I both looked at each other with a lost and confused face. I responded first "What get-together party?" I asked, Ruby then smiled "It's a party where our fellow trainers/rivals get together and catch up on the good old days, like a reunion party! So will you?" his eyes glowed with hope.

"I don't know..." I replied with an unsure choice. I have to deal with Red and teach him about dating. Also the fact that Red hates parties and anything festive.

Red shrugged "I don't mind..."

I stammered and shouted "WHAT!?"

Ruby smiled brightly "For real!? Awesome! See you guys at 8 tonight!" he chuckled and raced off out of my house.

I sighed "Why did you say 'Yes'?" I asked Red, who stood up in front of me.

Red shrugged "I felt like you wanted to go... S-Since you like parties..." his face became bashful with each words he speaks. As if he felt embarrassed about what he was saying, which surprised me since Red never cares about what others feel.

I covered my mouth from the smile that began to form in my face 'Why do I feel like Red being so damn cute? He blushes so brightly too... Wait-! What the hell am I thinking!?'

Red seem to catch on to my behavior and took my hand.

I paused my his persistent actions "What are you doing?" I asked. Red shrugged "I don't know... I felt like it..." his deep red eyes slowly look up to mine and I felt something strange from looking into them.

Somehow, it felt like it was my first time seeing them although I've known Red for a long time... But this time it was different....

His eyes are mesmerizing...

"We should get ready, huh?" I smiled awkwardly.

Red nodded "Why? The party starts at 8 pm?" he asked.

I gently pushed him to my room "C'mon, Red! There's nothing wrong with being prepared! Right?" Red stared at me and asked "Okay, but why are you dragging me to your room for? Your clothes won't fit me, you know..." he bluntly stated.

I shooked my head "Shut up! Now wait here! I may have something to fix you up!" I said and exit my room, where Red awaited for me.

I ruffled my hair back and took a deep breath 'The hell is wrong with you, Green? Get a grip! It's Red? Only Red! Your childhood friend/rival!'

Nothing more! Nothing less!...
