[Red's POV]

Green and I finished getting ready for tonight at Ruby's party. However, I didn't really want to go but I know Green does, which is why I didn't mind it. If Green is there, then I guess it'll be okay. He's the only guy I can trust, you know? The only one who really looked after me after I disappeared to the mountains.

I suddenly stopped moving when something was pulling back my sleeve "Red, why did you want to go?" Green asked.

I thought carefully 'I can't say that it was because he will be there... So...'

I said bluntly "I'm curious on what a party is like. Plus, you and I are 'dating' so we should be attending parties together, right?" I tilted my head from my question, which made Green seem flustered somehow.

"G-Geez... Whatever, let's just get this over with..." Green sighed and walked ahead of me this time.

I wonder if I said something wrong? Somehow I feel unsatisfied with my response, could it be because I lied? Or... Because Green's attitude suddenly seems out of character for him?

We arrived at the party soon after, Ruby welcome us inside "I can't believe you guys made it! Especially you Red, what made you come?" he smiled at me.

I acted a bit distant "Does it matter?" Ruby noticed I gave the cold shoulder and nervously moved onto the other guest.

Green pulled onto my wrist roughly "Did you have to be so cold? At least act like you want to be here!" he said with an angry tone.

I rubbed my ear from his furious tone "Why do you care?" I asked.

Green sighed deeply and pulled his hair back "I don't, I just don't understand why you can't get along with others? That's what so bland about you, I never see you enjoy another's company" I felt a bit surprised about Green's honesty.

I'm bland? So that's what he thinks of me, strange... Somehow I feel very uninterested in staying at the party. Green's words have taken effect to how I feel right now, even so... I feel challenged somehow...

I asked without facing Green "You'll be satisfied if I hang out with others besides you?" Green seemed to pause by my question and hesitated to answer.

"Seriously?" I heard Green say.

I slowly look up to him and saw a shocked expression on his face 'Why is he making that kind of face for? Does he think I can't do it!?' I felt anger from my conclusion, Green doesn't seem to believe I'm capable of socializing...

I clenched my hands and said without showing any expression "Fine... If that's going to make you feel better, we'll be going our separate ways until the party ends... I'll speak with you later, Green" I said, quickly leaving Green alone and looking for a group to start socializing with.

I'll show Green, I can do this... I can and I will!

[Green's POV]

What just happened? Red is actually going to speak with others. I'm usually the only person Red speaks with, but I guess this is my fault. Wait! What am I saying? This is good, that means Red will have good socializing skills and he won't need me to practice dating. The girls will most likely give him some tips, and I can do as I like.

Yeah! I better go see how Gold is doing, I got a text from him that he wanted to discuss something with me.

I started ny searched and looked around for Gold, I even texted where his location was. Gold didn't really respond, which is strange to me because he usually is on his phone 24/7. This can only mean he's busy doing something else, but I wonder what could be more important to him than his cellphone.

I decided to give up and found other fellow guest to speak with. When I hanged out at the kitchen, Ruby found me and we started talking.

I took slips of my drink before Ruby said "So Green how long have you known Red?" Ruby asked.

"What do you mean?" His question caught me off guard.

Ruby nudged my shoulder "Don't pretend you didn't know~ Red only ever speaks with you, so I assume it means you're special to him" he nodded to his own statement.

I felt bit annoyed "Hardly... Red always thinks for himself, he's a cold, loner who does things to only satisfy himself!" I crossed my arms, a bit of an immature manner. Then Ruby curiously asked again "If Red is all those things... Why did he bring you with him here?" he stared at me with to await for my reply.

I clenched onto my drink "How should I know? When we came here he said it was curiosity..." I shrugged, feeling like I don't really know Red too well.

Ruby stared at his drink "If Red came here with you for a curious purpose then, he must really trust you, huh?" he said with a smirk, drinking his cup.

I guess, Ruby is right... Red knows I enjoy parties and he seems to only want to satisfy how we both feel I guess. But, why would Red rely on me?

[Red's POV]

Damn, I couldn't find anyone to socialize with. How the hell am I supposed to speak with anyone when I'm so quiet around people I don't know?

Sudden a few girls walked up to me and sat with me along the couch.

"Hi! I'm Platinum"

"I'm Yellow!"

"You can call me Crystal!"

I felt surprised these three girls that came up to talk to me. Somehow it felt suspicious but I didn't pay any mind to it, although I did felt a bit nervous to reply.

I hesitated a bit and said shyly "I'm... Red..." I motioned my hat in front my eyes to avoid eye contact. I don't really like speak with others besides Green but, it's a small step.

Crystal giggled "Aww, well aren't you shy?~" she smiled.

Platinum nodded "Don't worry, Red! We just want to get to know you!" she patted my back to reassure me.

Yellow snatched my hat from my head "Cool hat~" she said and placed it on her head.

I said coldly "Could you give it back?" I reached to grab it but then Yellow smirked.

"C'mon, Red! I just want to try it on!" Yellow replied, playfully.

Crystal asked "So why are you here by yourself?"

I bluntly replied "I'm not, Green is with me-!" I jumped as the girls quickly grew close to me when I mentioned Green.

Platinum's eyes glowed "Are you for real!? The gym leader is really here!?" she asked.

I didn't even know Green was a gym leader, things have changed from back then.

I said with an unhappy tone "Yeah, but we separate because Green doesn't think I can socialize so... I'm trying to show him, I can make friends without him..." I played around with my fingers in frustration of what Green must be thinking. He doesn't believe I'm capable of anything, that jerk... Why do I keep thinking about him if I hate him? Was what Gold said true?

Yellow pouted "Green sounds like a jerk..." she commented.

Platinum ruffled my hair "Don't listen to Green, you can do if you put your mind to it!" she smiled.

Crystal nodded "Yeah, and you're already making new friends with us so Green can eat his words!" she laughed with confidence.

This somehow made me feel a bit better but, it still felt a bit empty... But, why?

[Green's POV]

Ruby whistled "Seems like Red is game today, he's scoring with the ladies already" he chuckled, looking at Red's direction. I follow where Ruby was staring at and saw Red with a few girls around him.

The girls were laughing, playing with Red's hat and casually ruffling his hair. Red didn't seem to mind and I can almost see and small smile on his face.

Somehow Red's popularity with the women seemed to...

...Piss me off very much...
