i sat down at the Dallas' dinner table as Gina bought in the food.

"it looks amazing, thank you." i say before giving Cam a death stare so he wouldn't laugh.
"thank you honey." she smiles.

"so, are you new here?" Gina asks me.
"yeah, my dad has to move a lot for his job but i'm pretty sure we're staying here now."
"im sorry, did you say your last name was Jones?"
"yes, why?" i say before taking a bite out the mashed potato.

hmm..mashed potato.

"i think your dad works with me."
"oh yeah, he did once talk about working with you." i say to look up at cameron who's smiling at me.
"so what does your mom do for work?"
"oh, well my mom passed away a few years back but she was a very good accountant." i say.

i do really miss my mom, our family relationship was golden. i know shes there looking out for me, i also know she will definitely like Cameron.

"oh sweetie, im so sorry.." she says as she rubs my back.

i nod and carry on eating.

"thank you so much Gina, the food was lovely!" i say as i kick Cam so he wouldn't laugh.
"its alright." she smiles as she walks to the kitchen.

"how did i do?" i question Cam.
"bravo, i think you're the only girl she has genuinely liked."
"1 point-Rosie" i say, pushing my fist in the air.
he grabs my hand and puts it back down on the table,"and remember its also 2 points-Cameron."
"where did the other point come from?" i ask confused.
"oh i think you know where it came from babygirl." he says as he winks.

i laugh at him then pick my plate up and take it to the kitchen.

"well, i better get going. my dad will be wondering where i am, but thank you so much!" i say to Gina.
"anytime honey, thank you for coming." she says, pulling me into a hug.
"here, i'll give you a lift." Cameron says opening up the door for me.
"thank you!" i shout before exiting.

back at home
i walk into my house to see that my dad was still not home. i walked into the kitchen to see a note stuck to the fridge with a magnet, i sighed and picked it up.

rosie,
emergency strikes again at work! i will be back on sunday, there is plenty of money for you to use for food etc. NO PARTIES!
i will miss you, i love you sweetie,
dad x

his work is really getting to me, i miss always being with him. but i know mom would be proud of him and how hard he's working.

i sigh as i walk up to my room, but that does mean a weekend where i can do whatever i want..that's a weekend i deserve, right?

i lay down on my bed as i start to contemplate mine and Camerons relationship. i do have feelings for him, not feelings of lust just feelings of love. maybe he does feel the same? or maybe he just wants to get in my pants? maybe this whole bet has gone too far, i should just suck up and tell him that im in love with him.

fuck...i love him.
