rosie
*next day*
last day of semester and i am thrilled to be going into spring break. i can't take much from this shitty school any longer.*5:55pm*
i walk backstage to see matt fixing his bowtie.
"excited?" i ask.
"nervous."
i laugh,"don't worry matt, you're going to be great."
"thank you." he says pulling me into a hug,"did cameron show up?"
"he didn't come to school today meaning, i don't think he's coming to your play. but at least i'm here!"before he could say anything a loud voice from the speakers announced,"please take your seats and get ready for 'The Wind In The Willows'"
"good luck!" i say giving matt one last hug before i run to the seats.
lets get this over and done with.
*after the play*
i run backstage to congratulate matt because this boy did good in the play. although half of the time i was thinking about how i was gonna be when i show up at cameron's tonight. meaning i didn't really pay attention to much of the play..does that make me a bad friend?probably.
"well done!" i say, giving matt a hug.
"thank you." he says smiling,"when are you going to cameron's?"
"soon, but i really don't know if i should go there. like don't you just wanna celebrate and order piz-"
he interrupts,"stop stalling! i'll give you a lift there, you need to do this."
"but matt!" i whine.
"rosie, nothing will get better if you don't tell him your real feelings for him! this game is worthless and you know it." he says shaking me by the shoulders.
i sigh,"okay, i'll do it."
"that's my girl." he smiles,"give me five minutes and i'll be ready to take you there."i nod and sit down on a chair, running through the conversation cameron and i were going to have.
i'm not weird..just prepared.
the words that will come out of my mouth may be words that i will regret but it's worth it. he deserves it. he knows i love him and he just wants to ignore me like he doesn't know anything.
ha..you can't get away from it this time.
"you ready to beat his ass?" i hear matt say from above me.
"sure.." i say sarcastically as i get up.
"everything will be fine!" he says, reassuring me.
"how do you know?" i sigh before opened the main entrance door.
"well you looked quite prepared to me when you were sat on that chair, mouthing words to yourself." he laughs.
"fucks sake..you saw that?" i ask him.
he lets out a chuckle as he opens the car doors,"certainly did."
"what if it doesn't go the way i thought it'd go?" i ask as he puts the keys in the ignition.
"how do you expect it to go?" he asks, putting the car in reverse.
"i confront him, he tries to fight back for me, then i walk away with sass."
"you know those things only happens in movies, rosie?"
"ugh, whatever! i'll just go with the flow and if i don't know what to say..what do i do?" i ask.
"throw yourself out the window."
"seems reasonable."lets hope this goes as planned...
