We headed back to my car and i got in the drivers seat Syd sat beside me and buckled up.
I started the ignition to the car and pulled off
"Where are we headed?" Syd asks i stop at a light
"Sit back and enjoy the ride." I say turning up the radio Just a picture by Kyle plays
I hum along to the song and hop on a freeway back towards my house about 20 minutes later i pull up to a park and turn down the radio and look at Syd.
"We're hereee." we both hop out and I look at her
"The Park?" she asks i nod she smiles
"Yes The Park!" I pop my trunk and grab the blanket I keep in there we walk to the grass and i unfold the blanket Syd helps me lay it out she sits on it and i take off my shoes
"What are you doing?" she asks
"You just love asking questions huh?" i say laughing a little she laughs
"I mean you're taking off your shoes i thought we were gonna sit here."
"You must mean You're gonna sit here" i exclaim pointing at her she chuckles
"Im gonna play." I continue I do a round off cartwheel and she laughs
"Woah okay thats all you got?" Syd asks i put my hands on my hips and back up and run to do a front flip and land on my feet but i lose balance and fall i laugh so does she
"Come with me to the swings." i say she follows in behind me to the swing set the park was empty to my surprise no one was here we take a seat on the swings the sun was starting to set blue purple pink and yellow hues took over the sky. Syd looked at her shoes then at me.
"If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?" she asks i look up and think
"Ummmm probably rice maybe sushi? What about you?"
"Definitely pizza you can never go wrong with pizza." I nod i start to swing a little
"Yo the show was really nice My sister kept going on and on about how your vocals were amazing she wasn't lying though it was amazing." Syd laughed a little
"Thank you its crazy because i had the worst sore throat during the last half of the performance but im glad yall couldn't hear that." i look at the time on my phone it had just hit 8:30
"When is the next show?" i ask her she looks up for a second
"This Friday coming up then we have a album signing for feel good." i nod
"You should pull through at the show and chill with us afterwards." i smile
"If im not busy i will for sure come through." she smiles
"Come on." i stand up and start to walk to our blanket i lay on my back on the blanket Syd lays beside me and i exhale a breath and look at the stars
"If you could name a star what would you name it?" Syd asks
"Cellia after my mom. She well deserves to be a star."
"And why is that?" Syd asks i glance at Syd
"Ready for a story?" she nods and i start talking
for some reason i don't know why but she just made me calm and i felt like she would understand every word i had to say despite how i portrayed them just that well.
*Later that night*
We finally pulled back up to her house around 11 at night her car sitting in the driveway i turned off the ignition and sat back she unbuckled
"Hey Syd?" i called out to her she looked at me
"I had fun today which i didn't expect to find myself saying but i really did we should do it again sometime." she smiled and chuckled a bit
"Definitely. Text me." she steps out i wave she nods her head and heads inside i pull off in the distance hitting the freeway the light and all just made me think.
What if this actually turned into something? Like Syd is fuckin famous im a basic black woman tryna school and live to see rent day. I don't know. I headed off to my house to continue to sleep the rest of the night away.
Sorry the chapter is so short guys :( i had writers block for this chapter and i couldnt write much but the other chapters? BE READY FOR SOME HEAT THEY ARE READY TO GO! I'll update a chapter tomorrow for you guys! Love yall!
