Anger gave Applepaw the strength to push through the snow and screech at Nova, "What was that for!" She screamed with all her energy.
He circled around her, "It's nothing bad, she was a loser anyways. Too weak without her family. Not thinking about anything. But you Applepaw, you're a smart young she-cat." His breath close to her ear making her feel uncomfortable.
"Get away from me!" She hissed and looked around for Icey below, it was way too dark to see anything. From the corner of her eye, she saw Nova creeping up on her with claws unsheathed, right as he lunged, Applepaw shut her eyes tight and flung herself off the edge of the cliff.

Is this StarClan? Applepaw thought as light beamed on her fur, she sat up and shook the snow off of her pelt and smelled blood, sniffing, she turned around. She saw a small white body with red fur plastered to her sides. Applepaw jumped over to her, "Icey.." She murmured.
Icey's sparkling blue gaze had left her body, her fur was pressed against her. She was frozen solid and extremely wet. Blood had crusted on the edges of her body, causing insects to feed on her. She was here the whole night.. Applepaw bent down and began sobbing.
She rested her head on Icey's belly, not caring about the insects crawling about. After a few minutes of lying with her friend, she decided to clear the snow away and bury her. Applepaw gently pushed Icey's body away from the area she had taken her final nap. Scrabbling against the cold earth, she forced her claws to scratch away the dirt.
She had finally made a big enough hole for Icey. The insects left her body and Applepaw tried to give her a wash, but she was just too cold. Applepaw gently lifted Icey by the scruff and laid her to rest in the hole. She scratched the remaining dirt over her body and pushed the snow back over.
She trudged down the side of the mountain, not noticing her surroundings, she tripped and fell on a handsome young tom. He looked oddly familiar. Golden pelt with darker stripes on his back, white tail tip and belly.. Then realization hit her. "Goldenkit..?"
