Luck.
I don't think I've ever experienced that.
Things were finally looking up for me. I was lagging with my marks, and when I finally managed to get them back up, it just turned against me.
I was called out of class, once again, by the AQC. She claimed that since I learned a new way how to teach myself, she gave me a huge responsability.
I was forced to show up, thrice a week, to tutor a class of reckless, failing students.
Oh joy. Note the sarcasm.
Prior to the first tutoring lesson, I was given a list of the students that would be with me and the task to go one by one, to each class, pull out the student, and inform them. I didn't want any surprises, so I skimmed over the list. Probably twenty one students, seven were girls, the rest were boys.
My finger was moving over the letters when my heart stuttered.
Surprise, surprise. The biggest failure of all time has to show up on my list, in my class.
Caleb freaking Dawson was in my class.
How will I be able to control the class without looking like a middle aged women on crack? It will be nearly impossible. I know most of these students and I know that they have the tendancy to be absolute loonatics in class.
The next morning, I manuvered around the corridor knocking on class doors and talking to students. When I reached Caleb's class, I willed myself to calm down and then I knocked the door.
"Hello miss, can I please speak to Marc, Elliot, and Caleb?" I asked her. She nodded and I waited for them. I noticed Jennifer giving me a look before I closed the door behind me.
"Okay." I cleared my throat. Looking over at the guys, I noticed Caleb snickering.
Ignore him Ana. He is not laughing at you.
"So every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdy you three have a tutoring class with me from three to four." I said and they groaned.
"Why?" Marc wined.
"If you pass the next test then you will be pulled out. So just pay attention in class, okay?" I try to convince them.
"Fine." Elliot huffed.
"As long as the teacher is fun." Marc said.
"Oh. I can garentee." I sarcastically say and roll my eyes.
Caleb was leaning against the door frame smirking at me. I moved my chin in his direction.
"And you?"
"Whatever." His smirk falters and he leaves the corridor and enters his class with a scrowl.
"Someones on their period." I muttered.
"I know right." Marc rolled his eyes before he entered the class.
This is going to be interesting.
That day after school, I was in class waiting for the students to start rolling in. The bell rang and the girls started to file in and take their seats, while chit-chatting. Three minutes later, all the guys showed up and talked their way into their seats.
When everyone settled down and acknowledged my existance, I cleared my throat and started to talk.
"Okay. Uhm.. Hi. You all probably know me. If not I'm Ana and I will be tutoring you. So first I'm gonna call out the names..."
I called out the names and Caleb was not there.
No surprise.
"Okay so. Caleb is the only absent one," I looked around the class, "Good."
