*1 week later*

"Where's mummy?" Eric asked, frowning.
"I don't know, bud." I replied, worriedly. We'd now returned from Disney and it was time for Eric to go home. We were patiently stood outside Costa Coffee, the arranged meeting place. The message that'd been sent to Simon stated that she'd be here at 6pm. It was now 7:30pm, and if Eric had one more Chocolate Creamy cooler he'd probably begin bouncing off the walls. I could already see his hands were jittery as he tapped them on the table, his body excited from the sugar intake. They had already began to pack away the tables and chairs in the café.

A waitress approached us.
"I'm really sorry, loves, but you're gonna have to leave. We have to lock up."
I sighed, but flashed a smile and stepped into the cool, summer air. It was quite cold for a summer evening, hence the awful English weather, and so we shivered slightly in our shorts and t-shirts.

Simon had dropped us off outside the coffee parlour so we had no way of getting home. This was getting ridiculous. She was meant to be here over an hour ago. I grabbed my iPhone 7 out of my pocket and dialled Simon's number.

"Hey, can you talk?" I asked. I knew he was in a meeting for the BGT advertisement.
"Quickly, yeah. What's up?"
"Well, we're stood outside in the freezing cold, the coffee shop closed and Lauren didn't turn up."
"What?"
"Yeah, and we have no way of getting home."
"Don't panic. I'm coming to pick you up. Lads, I'm going to have to leave this meeting. I'm sure it's nothing I can't do over email. Thank you," he paused, "babe, I'm on my way."

I sighed, frustrated at the situation.
"Eric?" I prompted at the small boy who was tapping away at his iPad, playing a car racing game. He looked up at me.
"I think Mummy forgot to come, so Daddy's on his way. Do you mind staying with us another night?" I asked softly.
"Okay, awesome!" He exclaimed, before continuing to tap on his iPad.

Several hours later, Eric was fast asleep in his room and I finally had time to speak to Simon about what had happened today.
"Baby?" I asked, walking into the kitchen to find him hunched over his laptop, a stressed look on his face. I knew all the work was getting to him.
"Yes?" He sighed.
"Something's not right. Why didn't Lauren show up?" I questioned.
"I don't know David, if I knew then I'd sort it out, wouldn't I? Just... Just quit it,
Okay? Stop obsessing over Lauren, she was my ex wife not yours." He snapped.
I blinked at his anger, before turning bright red and walking to the fridge, trying to hide my face and grabbing a water.
My eyes stung with a few tears, which I tried my best to hold in. I couldn't help but get emotional at the slightest of confrontations with him.
"David? I'm sorry." He said, sighing yet again and grabbing my arm.
"Forget it, I'm going to bed." I replied shortly, shrugging him off and heading up towards our bedroom. He didn't follow me.

An hour later I was still laid there, wondering about what was going on. I hated when Simon and I had arguments, even if they were one sided. I felt the bed dip and his presence next to me as he kissed my cheek and wrapped his arms around me.
"Sorry." He whispered.
I pretended to be asleep.
"Cut the act, Walliams." He said, before correcting himself from my old nickname.
"Cowell, I know you're awake." He prodded me. I turned to face him with a tear stricken face and mumbled,
"What?"
He pulled me closer to him and kissed my nose.
"I love you." He whispered, and I fell asleep to those words.

"For gods sake!" I exclaimed as the soapy glass fell from my hands and shattered all over the floor. I kicked the cupboard in frustration, causing a dent in the furniture.

I couldn't explain how I was feeling at the moment. Work was piling up so heavily, I had American Idol, X-Factor US, X-Factor UK and Britains Got Talent to produce, and then of course I had to deal with this whole Lauren thing that David was obsessed with. I pondered over what would make me feel better as I swept up the glass. I couldn't think of anything. Just for all the work to go away. The glass was now cleaned away and I sat on the counter, sighing at the overload of work. I heard the front door click open and footsteps approach the kitchen.

"I've dropped Eric off at Lauren's mums house, so we could have some time to ourselves." David smiled as he walked towards me, his smile merging into a smirk.
He wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed my lips, his hands moving onto my chest. He smirked as he bit my lip, yet I moved away.

"Sorry, David, I'm not really in the mood, to- I've got a lot of work to do." I muttered, shaking him off and heading back towards my laptop.

"Wh-What?" He stuttered, and I saw his nose go red and his eyes stung with tears.

I ran up to our room and grabbed my iPhone off its charger. I chose the familiar contact as a sob erupted from my lips. Thoughts began to over crowd my mind.

"A-Alesha?" I cried into the phone, tears streaming down my face.
"Oh my god, David, are you okay?"
"N-No..." I cried.
"What happened?"
"Simon, I just kissed him and he pushed me away saying he had work to do. And he yelled at me yesterday." I sobbed into the speaker.
"Oh babe... don't cry. He's probably just in one of his moods."
"No, Lesh, I know how he is in his moods. And whenever he's like that he'll still be nice to me. This is different."
"Don't panic. If it gets worse, call me, okay? Love you."
"You too." I cried and hung up. I didn't understand what I'd done.

The black spots infront of my eyes appeared as I felt claustrophobic and agitated.

All I could think was one thing, as the panic attack over took my body and I shook violently on the floor.

Had I lost the one thing that mattered to me?

I stormed out of the house, infuriated.
Why did David have to be so... I couldn't even explain it. The only thing I felt was annoyed.
At everyone.
At everything.

No one understood me anymore.
Not even David.
