Taken on Oliver Lincoln Brooks' twentieth birthday, shortly before Moony left the bathroom and complained that she wasn't in the photo.

Just before the photo was taken, Oliver had whispered a joke to his sister while their Mother fiddled with the camera, and she'd laughed; that laughed was, in turn, captured and forever kept between the pages of a photo album.

The day had been split between a theme park and a restaurant, before the three siblings went to the surprise party that Cara had organised for her brother (and had even managed to keep a secret from him for two months, a feat she'd never managed before).

[Cara told her brother and sister everything; absolutely nothing was left unsaid between them].

Oliver had been beyond shocked when he'd been greeted by the shout of 'surprise' escaping the lips of his closest friends and cousins. Cara remembered Shelley telling him that he was 'nearly an adult' now, despite her being only three years older than him.

Oliver had told Cara, drunkenly, as they sat at the bar, that he was planning on proposing to his girlfriend of four years before they left for Stanford together. Oliver and Julia fell in love at first sight, or so Oliver told Cara, but neither worked up the courage to do anything about it until months later, in the weeks following Oliver's sixteenth birthday.

Oliver told Cara the next morning that he'd had the best birthday ever; that she was part of the reason, and he loved her for that. Then, he went and thanked their Mom, hugging her like a child despite him being taller than she was.

[Julia said yes, when he proposed at the airport just minutes before they both boarded the plane, in front of their family, told him that they were going to be together forever].
