Brother's Best Friend

You're in the family lounge watching tv...

Ever since you were young, you've known you had a thing for girls as well as boys. You'd been in a pretty serious relationship with your now ex boyfriend m, Adam. He never liked the fact you liked girls and boys, he thought it was wrong. Your relationship with him was far from perfect but you still loved him. It was 2 weeks ago that he ended things with you, claiming "you liking girls is too much for him to handle" and whatever else came out of his mouth at the time. Your sexuality didn't seem to affect your relationship until she came along... Your brother's best friend, Demi.

He had been best friends with her for years and you'd always thought she was attractive. You stared in awe when she did something as simple as show a smile. It wasn't until recently that you discovered that it wasn't just a fascination, but a love. You're in love with your brother's best friend.

"Hey you" your brother says to you, entering the living room.

"Hey, what's up?" You casually ask him.

"So umm, Demi is coming around later" he says nervously and slightly blushing. You could tell he was hoping you hadn't seen it. "Oh cool!! Why are you blushing?" You joke and hit his arm playfully.

"Have you seen her?! She's beautiful and such a nice girl in general. Ughhh she's" he was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Here? Time for you to see your girlfriend" you wink at him before he gets up to answer it. Her voice immediately floods your ears and you could listen to it all the time.

She enters the living room wearing a white floral dress and a big smile on her face. She comes and jumps on the sofa next to you then wraps her arms around you excitedly. She quickly pulls you into her, cutting off any air circulation you needed. "OMG hi!!" She screams in your ear... so her voice is nice when she doesn't do that.

"Demi, I can't breathe!!" You try and exclaim. She immediately loosens her grip on you and says "I didn't realise I took your breath away that quickly" then smirks at you. "You have since day one" you think to yourself.

"I have?" She asks. Wait, you actually said it out loud?! Demi now knows you've had a crush on her forever?! Your brother walks in the room and every cell of your body prays that Demi drops the subject. You can't have your brother of all people know!!

"Hey, what's my 2 favourite girls talking about?" He asks. You want the ground to swallow you up when Demi's eyes look straight into yours. "Oh nothing, we're just catching up! You know since we haven't seen each other for ages!" You try and say in a none awkward way to him. He knows something is going on but plays it off as if he doesn't because of Demi's presence. "Okay well I'm gonna have a quick shower and the three of us are going to the cinema after" he says happily.

Once he left, you and Demi looked at each other. It should have been awkward but it wasn't in the slightest. "So, can I take your breath away again or will it be too much for one day?" She says to you before smirking. "It depends ho-" and before you could finish, her lips are pressed to yours in a soft, passionate kiss. Her arms around your waist, gently tugging on your shirt. She pulls away and rests her forehead against yours, staring deep into your eyes. "Oh Demi" you whisper.

Some time later, you're getting into the car to go to the cinema to see some lame movie that your brother wanted to see. The journey was short but fun, singing along to the radio with Demi looking at you every now and then. She was sat up front with your brother so she used to mirror in the sun shield to look at you.

You got into the cinema and found your seats. Demi was sat between you and your brother with a box of popcorn in her lap which ended up going to your brother at the beginning of the movie anyway. Demi's hand found yours and you intertwined your fingers with hers. She whispered in your ear that you could cuddle into her if you'd like. You desperately wanted to be in her arms again but couldn't risk it with your brother being there so you rested your head on her shoulder.

Demi nudged you a bit to get your attention so you looked at her. She placed a kiss on your lips but pulled away quickly in case your brother saw. You pulled your hand out of her grip then lifted her arm up and cuddled into her side, allowing her arm to lay around you. You smiled up at her as she pulled you as close as possible into her. Breathing in her sweet vanilla scent, you relaxed into her.

You notice your brother trying his luck with Demi by touching her hand with his. She moved it each time he tried to do it which had you laughing into Demi's chest, hoping he didn't hear you. Demi eventually had no where else to move her hand so placed it awkwardly on her lap, sending giggles out of you once again.

Throughout the movie, Demi kept kissing you and you ended up making out for a lot of the movie, no longer caring what anyone else thought. At the end of the make out, you whispered in her ear "Demi, will you be my girlfriend?" She looked at you with a massive smile on her face before saying "of course I will"
