Chapter 12: Ladies' Day and A Blog

A new week rolled in and we began the Monday with a routine breakfast and morning chatter on the table. Ralph was still in his crutches, hobbling around with the help of James and Lola whilst we were on the dining table. I had been chatting endlessly with Ross over different lenses and filming cameras, suggesting a variety of brands that we can get. Even Dan joined in the fun, though was constantly flirting with the Cherry again.

Honestly, I couldn't care less – as long both parties liked each other.

Right after breakfast, I waited outside the front of the manor. With bag on my bag and coat on, Hannah, Kim, Georgia, Lola and I decided to have a ladies' day at Colchester. We had planned to check out some stores and eat out in one of the café restaurants Ralph had suggested.

"Hope you have fun, girls." Lewis waved at us farewell as he walked passed with Simon beside him.

I heard Simon also added, "No drinks; no drugs, kids."

Kim burst out laughing, along with Hannah snickering and Georgia and Lola kindly laughing. I grinned and reassured the dear friend that we won't be trying out any illicit activities. We had been waiting under the shade for James and another driver to take us, as neither of us could drive nor there had been any near train stations. There was a little excitement in my mind since I knew the cars Ralph provided were extremely curious and astonishing in the eye.

It was reasonable to agree as to why Dan fell in love with it.

After a hug from Hannah, my big brother stated that he was going to be recording more live skits with the boys whilst we were away. In our team, Kim was filming with her small video camera on our day trip. Even my bag was packed with a phone and camera and lenses – if there was going to be anything worth taking a snap of.

"Ladies, come this way." James clambered off the driver's seat as well as another unfamiliar driver and opened the door.

Hannah and I looked at each other and both of us couldn't help but raise eyebrows at the fancy gesture. We didn't need to be served like this.

"Lola," Georgia caught our friend's attention. "Do you want to ride with us?"

Lola smiled and politely said, "Sure...and thank you for the invitation."

I then grinned back and answered. "You don't need to thank us, it'll be great to have you. It's your little holiday now."

When she replied with a kind smile, we entered James' car and exited slowly out of the estate the same way James had took us in. There was a whiff of air blowing from out of the open window and I stared out into the countryside. Endless crops and fields rolled in hues of green and browns once the car entered the main road to the bustling city.

James and the other driver had dropped us off at the town centre of Colchester. Georgia and Lola got out of the car before me, which the butler decided to take the advantage and gave me a an envelope. Eagerly, I opened it and was surprised to see some passes for some gardens and castle.

He suggested, "Miss Hollows knows the town, so I suggest you encourage her to guide." James paused. "She isn't very..."

"I understand," I sincerely answered and empathically thought of the shy assistant. Lola needed a little more confidence, and maybe this day will probably get her into her comfort zone.

The other car had parked a few metres away, which resulted Hannah and Kim to walk over to us before I encouraged Lola to show us around and some suggestions we can do. In result: she asked if we wanted to do anything specific.
