"Hello? Uh, alpha? You awake?" It was still night, midnight to be exact.
"Huh? What now Frost." I sat up.
"I was wondering, are their any males in this pack?"
"No, this is a female pack."
"Oh. How do we prove ourselves here?'" She asked.
"To be something different. Like how Splinter is good at war strategy's, Eve's good with interrogation."
"Ok.... This might be a strange question, you don't have to answer it though if you don't want to."
"What?"
"Do you have any magic abilities?"
I sat there for a second.
"Yes, Frost I do, but I prefer not to use them. I can't be dependent on such a force. What would happen if I was poisoned and wasn't able to use magic? I would only use it in dire situations."
"Oh, so you do? I thought you were just... brave. You wouldn't stop fighting and I thought you didn't have powers, so you must of cared about your pack very much."
"Family comes first Frost."
"I have powers. They haven't been working well though."
"You're in shock. Just wait a day or two and you'll be fine. Maybe you could even improve them."
"Thank you alpha. I appreciate you looking out for me and my pups."
"No problem, now get some sleep. You'll be with Angel for the day tomorrow."
"Ok bye."
I rested onto my paws. I wondered what happened to Frost. I wouldn't try to read her mind, It would just hurt her. That also disrespects her privacy. I wonder what her pack was like. It wasn't pretty big, but they were probably strong like frost i guess they were never expecting the hunters. The hunters are fedish and sly, like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Evil creatures with one desire- Kill.
I must've fell asleep because I woke to the sun in my eyes. I stretched my legs and walked to the dining area. It was filled with the she-wolves from my pack.
"Hey Alpha!"
"Mornin' Alpha."
"Sleepwell, Alpha?"
I laughed and nodded to everyone. Evie, Splinter and Angel sat at the top of the hall.
"Hey Alpha, were having deer today!" Splinter bounced on me.
"Yay, food." I sat down next to them.
"Every one." I raised my voice
"SHUT UP ALPHA IS SPEAKING!" Splinter screamed.
Evie face pawed herself.
"Thank you Splinter. Everyone, we have 3 new wolves i would like to introduce. Two of them are pups, One a strong female, whom I would you all like to respect and welcome her as we have done to you. Frost, May you and your pups come up here please?" I smiled at the she-wolf who nudged her pups up. They looked like a bundle of joy, even if they had seen their pack killed.
"Mrs Alpha?" The little girl pawed my leg.
"Yes little one?"
"Mumma said to say thank you for saving us." She looked at me with big blue eyes.
"It's fine, your mother is staying with you until she finds her place." I looked down at her.
The boy was still hiding behind his mother.
