The pups had noticed too, and ran to me.
"Is it... Him?" Dominika asked, shaking in her fur.
"Nights? Nights!" I call for the small pup.
A sudden deep and distorted laugh came out from the shadows.
"H-hell-o cu-cousin ho-ow are y-ou?" He laughed.
"Acid." I growled, noticing the small pup at his paws.
"Wh-what a nic-ce lil' pu-p you h-ave he-re. Is sh-she you-rs?" He looked at me, like I was an old friend.
"No, she isn't, But she is under my protection. Leave her alone."
"Ho-w unfo-fortunate y-ou wou-uld of m-ade a lov-e-ly mo-other." He pawed at Night Frost's ears and head, making her wince.
"Leave. Her. Alone." I growled again.
"I D-dont kn-now i-if I wa-ant to. Bu-ut.." He trailed, petting Nights.
"What?" I stepped between the other pups and him.
"I co-ould ma-ke a-n of-ffer fo-r my chil-ld ho-ood fri-iend." He Played with the small pup.
"Ok..." I looked suspiciously at him.
"Fo-r a pr-rice. I-I wou-uld l-ike to jo-in yo-our pa-ack." Acid looked at me.
"How do i know if you are going to uphold your end of the deal?" I gesture towards night frost.
"I-I hav-ve in-nformation yo-ou co-ould u-use." He places a paw on Nights tail.
Sighing, I said," I will let you join, only if you listen to me." I said.
He bows his head down,"Yes Al-alpha."
"Ok, now please let us and the pups come home, a storm is coming."
"Y-es i-it is ge-tting da-ark." He walks towards me.
We stroll home, and i start to take note of Acid. He has dark fur, and green eyes. He is fairly tall, strong build but lean and probably agile. He has changed.
"A-are yo-ou che-ecki-ing m-me ou-ut?" He asks.
"N-No! I was just looking and you are my cousin! Gross!" I nudged his shoulder.
"Sor-ry ab-bout y-our sh-older" he said sounding guilty.
"Nah its ok, I understand how ya felt" I said.
I turned and looked at the pups, they looked scared but Night Frost look the most frightened.
The storm crackled in the sky.
"Do yo-ou ree-meber the st-torms b-back hom-me?" He asks.
"Yeah. Talia would play in the sky, entertaining us for hours." I laughed.
I heard a squeak as more thunder became loud.
"Come on, we need to run home pups. Move your legs." I noticed that Acid went to the back, nudging pups to go faster when needed. I remembered the sweet side of him which would often come out when we were alone.
The rain had drizzled a bit, but none of us go dreadfully wet. The rest of the pack stared as i walked through our home with one of the most feared creatures ever known to wolf kind.
"Al-alpha who is h..he?" Cana looked up at me.
"My cousin." I said, quite bluntly.
"Yeah bu..ut why is he in our home?" She stuttered.
"Children! Why must you be so judgemental of this poor lost soul! Shame on all of you!" Angel walked bravely and strongly towards me.
"What is your name, young one?" She demanded. Acid looks a bit wary. He many be corrupted, but he knows when to not engage.
'A-acid." He sat up a bit, meeting Angels glare.
"Welcome Acid. I am dreadfully sorry that the rest of the pack can be so rude! My name is Angel, an Elder here." She smiled.
"Th-than-nk yo-ou." Acid looked... well happy to say. His father was a rude, evil man who really never showed a huge amount of love to his son. Acids father saw his son as an abomination of nature and shouldn't be loved. I would wonder if my aunt wanted to have a 'perfect child'. I had heard that they had had a second, Octavia or something, but she was like her father. Evil and full of darkness.
"A-alpha is-n't it da-ark? Sh-ould w-we go t-o sle-eep?" Acid asked as we ate our dinner.
"Yeah, later! This is a party! We survived several human attacks!" Splinter jumped over him, laughing as she drank more of the stuff Angel was making. It was made out of plants, and made most wolves crazy.
"I-i do-ont wan-nna be h-ere." He sat closer to me. I remembered the parties that his father would host. Most lasted only almost 2 days, sometimes even a week if it was big.
"Come on, I'll take you to a spare den." I yawned.
As we walked through the empty den spots he noticed Frosts den and asked if he could sleep there. I waited a second, then said to him, "Don't mess it up though, please. It belongs to a friend, but i'm sure she wouldn't mind."
"Tha-nk yo-ou, Arua. Y-ou were al-always s-o ki-nd." He sniffled.
"Hey, don't cry, come on Shady, Please don't cry. Your father never deserved you." I sat with him, wrapping a paw around his neck. He continued sniffling.
"B-but H-he wa-s ri-ght. I-i hurt ev-ery o-ne." He looked at my shoulder.
"Everyone makes mistakes. It doesn't matter now. You are a good wolf at heart." I continued shushing him.
"O-ok. I-i am so-so so-rry fo-r to-day. D-did I hu-urt the p-pup?" He asked.
"No, she's' fine."
We sat there for a bit, Acid just crying into my fur.
"Why don't you get some sleep? In the morning, I will introduce you to the pups. Then maybe we can go hunting." I smiled, hugging him tightly.
"R-real-ly?" He looked up, a bit shocked.
"Yeah, they'll love you!" I rubbed his back.
"O-ok. Goo-d nigh-t cousin." He wondered to Frosts bed.
