"ALPHA!" yelled Cana she was injured and bleeding
"WHATS WRONG" I yelled as we ran over to Cana
"We are under attack again" Cana said panicked
"Get out of here" i told cana " go into the forest"
Frost took off and ran straight to the den and I followed
"Frost wait we need to get rid of the hunters... again" I called after her.
Frost ignored me and ran into the den, I ducked inside the den after her to Find Angel waiting for frost to come.
"Put them in the hole and cover it with the rock" Frost said to Angel
Angel nodded and led the pups over to the pile of rock where she moved one opening up a hole large enough to hide quite a few adult wolves. The pups dove in and Angel followed them, then Frost covered the hole and ran out to battle. I ran out of the den and saw frost fighting a hunter who had a sharp knife. The hunter was slashing at frost but she jumped out of the way each time. I looked around and saw blood and war, We are just going to be attacked constantly for as long as we live here I thought. I heard screams of pain and smelt blood, it wasn't safe here now. As I dove into battle with a hunter I saw Frost, she was bleeding badly and the hunter had knocked her to the ground and was tying up her feet and mouth. She was struggling and I couldn't help her I was fighting hunter after hunter and befor i knew it she was gone. After the battle I looked for Frost but she was nowhere to be found.
"Alpha we lost 3 this time" said Evie
"Make that 4" I said
"Well yeah 4 if you include Frost" she said " but i bet she is still alive"
"I hope so" I said as I went to the den to check on Angel who was now caring for the pups.
"Angel, are the pups alright?" I walked in.
"Yes, they are a bit shaken. Can I ask you something, Dear?" Angel sat up a bit.
"Of course. Anything."
"Could you maybe look after the pups for a bit? I know it's not your usual job, but the medics need my help."
"Uh, um sure. All the pups?" I asked.
"Yes, Ember and I need to help."
Sighing a bit, I nodded. Angel stood up and left. I sat next to the sleeping pups. There were now 10 pups, including Shylah, Night frost and Arrow.
The names of the rest of them are Willow, Joey, Millie, Dominika, Ashley, Quill, Kanine, Bella, Sapphire and Lacey. Joey and Kanine are male, the other's are girls.
Willow was the eldest, soon to become a hunter. I noticed her eyes gently flutter open.
"Al...alpha?" She yawned.
"Yes little one?" I rest beside her.
"Where is Angel and Ember?"
"They had to help with the pack so I am taking care of you."
"Oh. Well, then are you protecting us?"
"Ye..yes I guess so."
I notice the other pups stir.
"Normally after we wake Angel would feed us." Willow yawns.
"Uh why don't I take you pups hunting with me?" I ask.
"Ok yeah but nothing too big. We are still only little." She pressed her cold body against my fur.
"You pups must be cold in here." I said.
"Yeah. Angel said it would get better though." She nuzzled even closer.
I look around the tiny area of the den. It didn't have many items for the pups to keep warm with. The den I have now is a lot warmer, and has more comfort.
"Willow, I am going to lead you and the other pups to my den. It's warmer there." I stood up, gently letting her rest on my leg.
After I had made sure willow was awake, I nuzzled the other pups.
"Uh?" Arrow shook his tiny head. His sister and cousin also woke softly. Pups are so little, so delicate. They followed me sleepily to my den.
"Alpha? What are you doing with the pups?" Evie walked at my side.
"The den they are in is cold and unfit for pups. I might have to move the omegas den there, if their den is better. For now, they will stay in my den." I looked at the pups following me. They looked like fur balls, since their fur had not been properly groomed.
"Hey, Alpha could we get some food?" I jumped at bit as a small paw touched mine.
'Uh sure. Come on, we'll get something in you little ones. Then I will take you out for hunting practice."
"Thank you Alpha." Joey walked under my legs, making me almost trip over twice.
"Hey Sis!" NightShade smiled as she brushed past.
"Oh your taking care of the pups for Angel and Ember? How nice of you!" Sophia said.
"Alpha, I'm going to the Coastal pack, do you want me to send any messages?" Harper asked.
"Yes, Tell their alpha we have a new male, a possible Hollowed. Make sure to watch for Acid, he's been getting closer. One second- LEAH, SCARLETT!" I called over to two of the lead warriors.
"Yes alpha?" Leah sat down, pushing her chest forward, showing her big muscles.
"I need you two to go with Harper. She has valuable information and Acid," I stopped for them to remember the wolf which was once pure," is getting too close. Watch out and make sure she gets there safely."
"Yes Alpha." Scarlett, Leah and Harper left, running to make sure that they could get to the Costal pack as soon as possible.
"Wow." Night Frost's eyes grew wide.
"You are soooo cool!" Dominika said, jumping over Kanine.
"Come on little ones, time for food!" I laughed, leading the small 'pack' into the dining area.
"Hey Alpha." Splinter said, dragging a chunk of meat out towards her den.
"And what exactly are you doing, Splinter?" I asked.
"I'm getting midnight nibbles."
"Splinter it is the middle of the day."
"And what exactly is your point?"
I sighed and continued into the room.
"What do you little ones want."
"COW!!!" they all yelled in unison.
"Ok, I think we have some of that." I laughed
As they ate I sat down and watched, especially as Night Frost immediately took charge.
"Hey alpha, can we ask you something?" Ash asked.
"Ask away."
"Who is Acid?" She looked at me. My throat went dry.
"Let me tell you a story."
