I woke up with a sharp pain in my stomach and I rolled over to see if it would go away. Emarie is staying at my house cause I'm 9 months pregnant now and if I go into labor I'm not all alone. To my surprise it didn't go away it got worse.

"Emarie!" I half yelled since I wasn't fully awake yet.

She rushed in and started bombarding me with questions.

"Are you ok, is the baby coming, did your water break, oh my gosh are you ok?" she said making me panic.

"I need to get to the hospital," I clenched my stomach and gritted my teeth to try and stop the pain.

"Ok can you walk?" she asked.

I sighed and rolled to the edge of the bed, I pulled myself up and pain shot through my stomach.

"Let's just make this fast it isn't a cake walk,"

I made it down the stairs and to the car and when I did I just fell in and sprawled over the backseat. Emarie got in the front and began to drive like a wild person. When we made it to the hospital she pulled in and yelled for a nurse, they came out with a wheelchair and wheeled me in. I tried breathing in and out like some book I read said but it wasn't working every time I did that it freaked me out even more. They wheeled me back to a room and right when I got on the bed my water broke.

"Ok let's get this baby out," the doctor said while putting on gloves.

I only nodded not able to get many words out over the pain.

I pushed maybe two times and the baby popped out, the pain left almost immediately and was replaced with joy. But the joy diminished when I realized that one thing was missing for my precious little baby, their daddy.

Day before

Sodas pov

Right now we were in a convoy heading to the heart of the war, both me and Steve were on edge about the whole thing but we gotta do what we gotta do.

When we arrived we jumped out of the car and immediately got in position to shoot, I looked all around me for anyone but there was no one. We walked down an alley and there was a bunch of guys gathered around a trash can with food on it, their waists weren't bigger than a 7 year olds. We kept walking past them and the second we hit the corner gun shots were heard and several of our men fell. I slammed Steve against the wall and we both held our guns out for any men that decided to come our way. We heard footsteps and I gritted my teeth to stop from trembling. The guys made it halfway past the alley and turned around to face us, I froze and so did they. I looked right into the eye of the man that could kill me and I have to admit it want a pretty sight. They fired rapidly and I held my arm over my face and got he ground. A sharp pain attacked my arm and blood trickled down it. I took my good arm and fired at them and they left running away. I heard no noise it was dead silent, I looked at Steve and he was clutching his stomach his hand covered in blood. I rushed to his side and his face was already turning pale.

"Somebody cover me!" I yelled at the tip of my lungs.

No one came so I just kept my gun in hand and looked down at Steve.

"Ok man look at me, you're gonna be fine,"

He groaned and looked at me his face growing even more pale.

"I'm gonna carry you back to the convoy and they're gonna fix you up ok,"

He nodded slightly and I picked him up and threw him over my shoulder. I could feel his breaths getting shorter but I just kept going with tears threatening to fall. When I made it to the convoy four medics surrounded him and worked crazily. I put my back to them not able to see my best friend like this and the second I turned around a guy had a gun aimed right at my heart. I looked at him and he said
