~Alpha Drakes POV~
"Alpha! There are rogues everywhere and they have taken out the first few guards at the south border!" Shouted an alarmed warrior. "Those rogues never give up" I grumbled. I walked outside, making sure that everyone has been warned before entering the forest.
Quickly I shifted and ran out into the forest then to my surprise a rogue jumped on me. They were everywhere. I was surprised to see so many. And just around the houses too. I quickly killed the rogue before mind linking my warriors, warning them of how many were close to the pack house.
With so many rogues around I started to think about the time I had accidentally dropped my green bag from my back pack which had a rare prized knife made of gold with a silver blade in it. After I travelled a few miles I then noticed it was gone and when I had come back for it, it had blood stained on it. I sniffed it, and only smelled dirt and suspected it could be a werefox. But before I could follow it I got mind linked that there were rogues attacking the pack so I hadn't any time.
The next day I went back but that night it had snowed and any tracks or scents had completely vanished. And then after that I had found 2 rogue corpses. And sure enough the only other scent on the rogues was the earthy werefox scent.
Long ago I had looked into the science of the werefox and done research but there wasn't any suitable answers to the questions that I had. I believed that there was more to the werefox than violence but then they became extinct. I have a feeling I am the only alpha who still believes in their existence. I make it seem like I don't believe in their existence, even to my own family.
I looked around for the leader. I sniffed around, looking for him but he was no where to be seen. Then suddenly I picked up my daughters scent. I instantly panicked.
I followed her scent until I heard her high pitched wolfs cry for help. I wasted no time running towards her voice. That's when I froze in shock.
A werefox stood right in front of my eyes. She was protecting my daughter. I was stunned. The werefox was a young girl and an arctic fox. She looked battered and bruised and was circling the rogues leader. Dead rogues laid around them and I realised that she had killed them.
My mystery had been solved.
It was then that realisation clicked in.
I instantly ordered some nearby warriors to help get the rogues leader killed and get my daughter Kelly to safety.Once that was done, I approached the werefox. She was beautiful and seemed unreal. I wasn't like most of the alphas around who hated werefoxes. I tried to be reasonable but no one listened. And now a werefox had saved Kelly.
The werefox was on the ground, her eyes closed tightly as if awaiting the rogue leader to finish her off.
As I got closer, she suddenly noticed my presence and panicked. Then almost magically she regenerated strength and was up and running. I tried to run after her, calling her to stop. But she didn't and I couldn't even catch up to her. I chased her until we both noticed that there was a cliff at the end.
I sighed in relief knowing that after years and years of looking for an alive werefox that finally I had found one. Finally I could help at least one.
But then all my relief turned into fear. I halted quickly when I saw her face.
She was going to jump.
I tried ordering her to stop, yet it didn't work.
Then suddenly my excitement turned into terror when in slow motion she leaped mightily into the air and then went down.
