Julia's P.O.V.
I was so shocked. My eyes enlarged and a gaggle of goosebumps laminated my frigid skin. I tried to scream, but the inside of my mouth lacked moisture and a croak was all that issued my gape.
Jessica had a knife in one hand and my baby Marlene in the other hand. Marlene was screaming and crying in terror.
Jessica kept singing, "Go to sleep! Go to sleep."I was damn scared but I had to swoop in my guts for it was a matter of my daughter's life. I picked up the glass ornament that laid on the side table and threw it at Jessica. Jessica disappeared and instead, Marlene got hurt.
Thank God she didn't get hurt so severely. I dressed her little wound and hugged her real tight. I felt sorry.I locked the room and decided to stay with her for the rest of the day.

It was already 8 p.m. and it was extremely dark outside. Toby wasn't here yet. I tried to call him on his phone but he didn't pick up.Toby's P.O.V.
It was late then usual at the office. I started off for home. I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no street lights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that travelling through the forest would be the quickest way home. I was scared to go through the forest for this was the place where I had buried Jessica.Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I travelled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. It was very hard to even take a breath due to the stifling air.
The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistle to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. Atleast, I hoped I was.As the bushes and brush grew more solid, I began to ponder, "Will I make it through this forest tonight, or will I die?"
Just then, I heard sounds of sluggish footsteps. They came closer. They caused a vibration around me which lead me to stop in my place and listen closely.
She appeared in front of my eyes. Thick blue veins swelled her white wax paper skin. She floated with ease with eyes as empty as the nothingness from which she came. Her hair rippled in dark thick waves. The strands ressembled the deadness of the night.
She gripped my neck tightly and tried to asphyxiate me.
Her pale hands tried to suffocate my breath. I tried to loose myself from her grip but I couldn't.
I started losing my breath, soon my whole world was turning dark and my vision started to blur.Julia's P.O.V.
(sitting in the living room with Marlene, she turns on the T.V. She puts on the news channel) "It's 10 p.m. and Toby is still not here. "
What Julia saw in the news was just pathetic.
"Noooooooooooo!!!" She screamed as if she was being ripped off or murdered.
Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken stream.
Julia bent forward from where she sat on the sofa. She pressed her palms to the mat, she began to cry with the force of a person vomiting on all fours.------------------
