Chapter 8

" I'm sorry baby girl I'm sorry ," I whined, I nuzzled his face gently still licking away his tears.

" Please forgive me ," I whined and yipped slightly nudging him, he looked at me his eyes were red and puffy and tears slithered down his cheeks. I rubbed my face against his and instinctively started to make a purring sound. He broke down completely sobbing loudly his whole body shaking and his tears wet my cheeks. I just continued to lick and purr until he calmed down, he just held me tightly mumbling things to himself.

" I don't deserve such an amazing daughter, if only I hadn't screwed up... I'm so sorry Casey ," I purred and licked his cheek harder more forcefully and purred louder.

" What did I do to get a daughter like you Casey ?" I whined softly.

" Matt ? Baby where are you ?" I growled lowly my fur bristling.

Mommy dearest Melissa came into the living room and took one look at the scene in front of her and snarled.

" Who the fuck is this Mathew ?!?" I growled at her and Matt rubbed my fur down softly.

" Lissa it's just Casey ," she froze, her eyes widening when she saw me.

" That's impossible she shouldn't be able to shift she's half human !!" she was in shock and I sat up my legs finding some strength, I growled at her.

" Lissa, she has alpha blood she would have shifted either way ," she was turning red with anger staring at me with disgust.

" How can she be a white wolf ?!? She's - she's, just a delinquent !!!" I growled taking a shaky step off the couch testing my weight on my legs.

When I knew I could stand I started to stalk towards her snarling viciously at her. She backed away slowly her skin pale with fear.

' Don't you dare. Talk about me that way !' my voice rang in her head and the color drained to her feet.

" Casey stop !" I turned and growled.

" Come on sweetie just back off ," I deflated with a huff and wobbled over to Matt my legs still fairly weak.

I sat at Matt's side giving him a puppy dog face whining softly leaning on his leg innocently.

" Don't give me that look young lady your still in trouble ," I huffed and flopped down on my belly resting my head on my paws.

" Melissa I want the kids in here now,"

She huffed but followed Matt's instructions still slightly pale.

" Your still in trouble Casey ," I gave him a wolfy smile and innocent eyes.

" Mhmm ," Matt just shook his head but he was smiling, he rubbed my head softly and I purred at the sensation and leaned on his leg.

He left the living room and I padded after him to try to get used to walking on four legs, once I got the hang of it I started to sniff around all the new enhanced smells were over whelming and the enhanced hearing and sight was amazing I could hear the wind and the sounds of birds from al the way outside. I could also hear voices coming from the living room.

" What's this about dad ? I was napping !" That sounded like Chris he was about a year or two younger than Kevin but I haven't seen much of him.

" Well, your sister Casey shifted ," the whole room filled with gasps.

" What ?!?" Ava, I rolled my eyes, ugh she is so annoying.

" Yes she has and Casey is special ... she's a white wolf ," more gasps.

" That's impossible !! She can't be a white wolf she's just an out cast !!! She's an addict !!! She can't be daddy I was suppose to be special not her !!!" Ava was throwing a fit.

" AVA !! THAT'S ENOUGH !!!!" the whole room quieted down.

I sniffed my way back into the living room with my pink nose to the hardwood floor, I just pushed the door open with my head and sniffed my way into the room. I ignored the gasps in the room and continued to sniff, someone had food and I was hungry, I let my nose guide me to Kevin's pocket.

" Hey what are you doing ?" I tore it and a big chunk of steak fell out of it.

" Kevin James !!" I picked up the piece of steak and happily chewed on it at Matt's feet.

" Kevin ," he laughed nervously and swallowed slowly.

" I was hungry ok and there was leftover steak from last night-" I shot up and sniffed my way into the kitchen, somehow I somehow got the fridge open and saw the left over t-bone, it was huge and I was starving. I took it off the shelf and happily padded back into the living room.

" Casey !!" I ignored Matt and continued to chew happily on the steak.

" How did you even get that ?" I gave him innocent eyes and smiled.

But then I smelled something, something even better than the steak, it was a mix of old spice, mint, and fresh rain. It was making me go crazy, I had to follow it I bolted up and started to sniff it out. I ignored the calls of my step family and followed the scent outside and into the woods, I sprinted after it running full speed I had never felt so free in my life. The scent led me deep into the forest and the scent got stronger by a small stream, the closer I got the more the smell made me go crazy but when I got to the spot what I saw made me stop in my tracks. He was laying there by the edge of the stream sun basking, snoring softly, the wolf I saw had the smell made me go crazy, the wolf laying in front of me, was ash.
