Chapter 9

(Zachariah's POV)

I heard a twig snap, I stayed frozen so that I wouldn't get attacked. It sounded like paw steps, and they were getting closer, I stayed still. When it was close enough I pounced on them baring my teeth and snarling in his face. But then I stopped dead when I saw electric blue eyes, it was Casey. I whined and sniffed her, her sweet scent over powering my senses, my tail started going instinctively, she started sniffing me too and by her purring she liked what she smelled. I rolled off of her and we both stood our noses touching and rubbing up on each other.

' Mate, she's so perfect ,' I rumbled and walked around her rubbing up on her silky soft fur.

' I couldn't agree more ,' her tail was wagging and she was rumbling loudly, it was like a purr almost. She came over and started licking my muzzle and I just about died and gone to heaven, it felt so good I leaned into it. I whined and started sniffing around her and we ended up sniffing each others fur. I rolled over on my belly and my tail started going, she started licking my belly and it felt so good I was practically a puddle. She laid down next to me and put her head on me and closed her eyes, I just watched her, I couldn't get enough of her. She curled up into my side and put her head on my paws falling asleep.

' She's so perfect, how did we get such a perfect mate ?' I sighed and rested my head on her soft shoulder.

' I don't know, but I don't even care ,' I licked her shoulder blade and she purred her tail starting to go.

I continued to lick her shoulder and her tail was thumping hard and she was purring loudly. The touch of our mates has a very strong effect on ourselves, so just licking her is pleasurable. She licked my face and I purred like a motor, the feeling made my body tingle. She pulled away and stretched, yawning shaking out her coat. I stood and stretched too shaking out my muscles. She moved around me her fur brushing up against mine and making me purr, she was so perfect it hurt. Then she turned away and crouched her tail going and she growled, I smiled and did the same nipping her paw and she took off in a sprint. I chased her, she was amazingly fast but I was faster and I jumped on her and we rolled in a faint heap of fur nipping and batting at each other. I landed on top of her and pinned her down panting. I licked her nose and muzzle and she put her face in my flank. I touched her nose and she touched mine, and I practically melted into a puddle. But the moment ended when someone growled loudly, I looked up and alpha Matt was standing there snarling at us. Casey rolled out from under me and shook herself, she sniffed the air and her tail started going and she jogged over to Matt. He licked her face purring loudly pulling her with him, he looked at me and if looks could kill I'd be 6 feet under ground.

' You better stay away from my daughter carter or else I won't hesitate to tear you a new one, understand ?' I growled and he snarled viciously and I was forced to submit, I might be an alpha but Mathew was older and stronger.

' Yes ,' Casey ran at me and knocked me over licking my face and purring, she touched my nose and my body turned to jelly. Matt barked at her and she growled at him and sprinted into the woods leaving us both speechless.
