Scarlet Heir

PART ONE - The puppy🐶

The two children were merely one week different in age. According to the old laws of Norta a bastard should not be able to rule - yet a girl, Red and bastard. However the circumstances gave the young baby born of Mare Barrow full claim to the throne.
Mare Barrow named her daughter Scarlet so she would always remember who she was - even if she is raised to be Queen.

Young Scarlet grew up at the palace alongside her brother Prince Alfie - who as a boy, a silver and born of married Parents, should be the heir; or so many people at court thought. Alfie was always the favorite child of most of the palace - of course the palace was still full of silvers who considered the Princess a red rat who is undeserving of her title as heir to the burning crown. The Princess displayed a peculiar range of abilities as she grew; the power to control fire was an expected ability for that would have been passed on from her father but the power to control: metal, to hypnotize with her singing, to silence and to read one's thoughts came as a surprise to her teacher and great uncle. After further exploration Julian's theory was that her powers are not influenced by D.N.A like most Silvers and Newbloods, her powers came from watching others. She was a Burner from seeing her father control fire, a Singer from being influenced by Julian, a Magnetron from watching her stepmother display her ability, a Whisper from having one of the many Whispers at court help her sleep and finally silence from one occasion when she crawled into the silent stone throne as a baby. As conclusion to his study Julian tried giving her wires and electrical parts to play with - Scarlet had a few electrical shocks by the time he had completed his study but Scarlet came out with lightning abilities. Julian decided not to share his findings with the court nor with Scarlet, so she grew up oblivious​ to her strange powers. Her strange powers were not the main thing to worry about it was the crown.
