Apparently she was supposed to be a nice surprise, but she ran. Coward - Silver. My first born raised to be like them.
“We'll find her,” Julian says.
“Better,” I smirk.
“Then we send her and the boys home.”
“What?” I exclaim.
“It's clear to all you can take the red away from the crown but you can't take the crown from the red.”
I scoff. How true - power makes everyone hungry especially those with Calore blood.
“Fine,” I sneer, “Send her back to Whitefire to rot.”
Julian raises his eyebrows. “I was right.”
“About what?”
He twiddles his thumbs and swoops out the door leaving the open air to answer my question.
I'm not sure how long I say looking out for the window, but I know when I stop. I stop when there is no longer a window to look through.
Sparks echo in my hands.
“Good to see you again Barrow.”
“I could say the same about you… I guess it's your Majesty now, Evangeline.”
“I think would be more appropriate for us to discuss this with the rest of… your band of rebels.”
I nod.
“Let's solve this the red way.”
“Sounds justifiable.”

It is strange how quickly royalty can transform a room. The hall was extravagant to begin with but now it looks like a room in Whitefire.
“Where is she?” Cal - if I can still call him that - has a sharper tone than I ever remember. His eyes are cold for a burner and pierce Evangeline’s. He raises his eyebrows. He turns to Henry and Alfie.
“Wish I knew,” Alfie sighs.
“I know.”
Along with the body of the hall I turn my head to the voice. She has a posh tone filled with signs of silver etiquette. She has perfect posture. She has metal knives pointing in every direction around her. Yellow eyes ready to hypnotize us into submission.
“I suspect most here would be in favor of not having one of the best electrical conductors embedded into their skin. And the majority of you have powers you rather not silenced”
“You cannot control so many powers at once,” Evangeline’s statement is a command in itself.
“Would you be willing to test that statement?”
One blade of iron swoops towards Evangeline the tip hovering by her neck. A shiver glazes down her back. I see pride seep from her - a metal blade that should be in her power is now ready to kill her while she is smothered by silence. Scarlet’s eyes glare around the room.
“Sit.”
“You are in no position to order me around!” Tiberias says.
“Yes I am, Father, now be quiet.”
Tiberias' lip seal imminently and Scarlet sneers before allowing her eyes to turn back to brown.
“So you're here to drag me home?” It's hardly a question for she knew the answer before it escaped her lips. Cal nods his head slightly.
“Well I'm stepping down.”
“But you can't.”
“I have - Everyone would prefer for Alfie to become king. He has silver blood. He is a boy. He was born of married parents. He is the perfect heir, I'm sure you'll find many who'll agree within court.”
Tiberias shares a worried glance with me. The only thing we share, the want to keep her on the throne and Alfie off it. Nobody knows what will happen if she's not Queen, just me, Cal and the rest of my family. I'd rather it stay that way.
“So what do you intend to do with the rest of your life?”
She turns her eyes yellow again.
“I'm leaving Norta and none of you will remember today for when you wake tomorrow everything will be as it was before I left the palace. The only difference shall be that the Princess has been found to be missing.”
“Scarlet-” Alfie can hardly finish the word before she says her next words.
“Sleep in peace,” It is impossible to avoid her hypnotic gaze and we all soon slip into oblivion.

ONLY FITHTEEN DAYS UNTIL WAR STORM! Who else can't believe it? I actually sort of scared, and sad that soon it'll all be over. It's going to be so bitter sweet.
