The next morning was spent in bed, vet's orders. The wolf was set up near the fireplace, on top of a pink and purple blanket. When my mother left for the clinic I slipped downstairs, and cooked myself some breakfast. The wolf which I dubbed "Blue" padded over to where I was taking bacon out of its package.

" Hey, Blue, want some?" I ask dangling a piece of raw bacon. His tail thumped on the ground, and his dark grey muzzle opened, sharp teeth, lolling tongue, and all. A sliver of doggy drool plopped on to the hard wood floor. Giggling, I toss the bacon in to his mouth, and a wolfish smile appears as he gobbles it up. " Want another, huh, boy?"

Blue rolls on to his back, and gives out a howl-bark combo. The action incites a bout of laughter on my part. I pull out a bowl and add four slices of bacon, and a bit of ground beef I had defrosted specially for the wolf. After finishing my own cooking, I place Blue's bowl on the floor and set myself up on the island table.

When breakfast was over and the kitchen was cleaned, I retreated to the den where I spent hours watching netflix through the Wii with Blue warming my feet. During that time, I drifted of to sleep, and returned to the empty nowhere.

Well, not completely empty Cailean paced back and forth like a caged animal. An expression of unadulterated fear and confusion graced his face. I didn't understand the fear, but the confusion was inevitably about my sudden departure last night.

" Ehem," I cough none too quietly. " Cailean?"

His head whipped around so fast I got whiplash. I gave him an awkward wave, and tried to walk towards him only to land on my face. " Errr-umph."

" Wow, aren't you the most graceful lass. C'mon get up, let me finish my story." He says, a glint of amusement shone in his eyes. When he turned away from me I did what any other level-headed seventeen year old would do, and stuck my tongue out at him." Saw that, wee ruadh."

I positioned myself into a sitting position, and fixed my stare onto the bright blue eyes staring back at me.

" Sooo....You were a prince four to seven hundred or so years ago in a place called Skye? Would that be in relation to the Isle of Skye?"

" Aye, the Isle of Skye was a bridge betwix worlds. Skye is the land of monsters, gods, and spirits. There's a bridge almost everywhere, like Germany has an opening, so does Ireland, Norway,Egypt, Africa, India, Australia may have one but I'm not sure, and the Americas have about two." As he talked I became immersed within his words." Skye has many names, and is a realm few are told about. My family were the keepers of the bridge, twas a secret passed down generation to generation, heir to heir."

"So have you ever been to Skye?" I ask.

" I have visted Skye many times actually, tis a magical realm. Many of your fairytales come from the antics of the Skyfolk. Your gods are actually creatures from Skye. Most of them are Fae, or Witch." Cailean discloses.

" So where do you think we are, Cailean?" I ask genuinely curious.

" We may be in your head, what are you doing at this moment?"

" Um, I think I crashed on the couch with Blue, and I appeared here." I trail off.

" Hmm, I think you're dream walking, have you ever shared a dream with another person?" He bore his bright eyes into my own steel ones. I gave a quick shake of my head.

" I don't think so... This only started with you." I reply.

" I wonder, hmm." He mumbles under his breath running a hand through his ebony hair.

" What? I've been meaning to ask you... Where are you in the real world?" I ask. Just as he's about to answer, gray darkness seeps into the corners of my vision and with an," Awwh, hell not again."

I slip into blackness, the last thing I see is him mouthing something like, ' wolf.'
