I woke up to my mother shaking my shoulder with a worried expression. I was on the floor with a sunflower patterned blanket wrapped around me. Blue laid near my feet his large head on his paws. Sapphire eyes trained on my panting state.

" Ri, are you okay?" Mom asks her eyebrows furrowed.

" Y-yeah, I'm ok. Must've been a crazy dream or something." I laugh shakily. I get up, dropping the blanket around my feet. " I think I'm going to take Blue out to the porch for a bit. Fresh air and all that good stuff. And don't come outside, I can handle myself."

Before she can react I'm dragging the wolf outside by the gold slightly hot collar. Once I'm out, I turn my silver gaze on to the wolf. He backs up, tail in between his legs dissipating any doubts I had about my dreams.

" Cailean?" I inquire in a strong voice, not letting out any of my confusion or fear. The wolf straightens up and takes a tentative step towards me. His large black head bobs up and down. I hear a loud intake of breath, that takes me a few moments to realize that it's me.

" Holy hell weasel! How in th- Why are- AHHH!" The last part is a shrill, blood-curdling scream as the wolf turns into a man clad in black clothing, and the golden vine collar. " Don't do that to me Jesus!"

" I'm not Jesus, in fact you just said my name." Cailean stood before me, just to be sure I wasn't dreaming I pinched his cheek. " Lass, aren't you supposed to do that to yourself?"

" No, because then it'd hurt." I reply sinking down on to the wooden floor." Wait, oh my God, you could have done that the whole time?"

" Yes and no," he answers sheepishly, his eyes are partially hidden by his uncut, black hair.

" How can it be yes and no?" I ask raising my eyebrows.
