Shadow's Final Adventure

The past

(Shadow's P.O.V)

    Caeleigh and I had woken up in the middle of the woods and no one was around us. I stood up and looked around to see nothing except for the trees around us. I looked at Caeleigh who said, ''Where are we?''

''A hundred years in the past by my guessing,'' I said.

''So what do we do now?'' She asked.

''We wait for the years to pass,'' I said.

''How can you say that?'' She asked.

''Cause there's no way to get to the present from here, and even I tried we'd be thrown further back in time or we'd be wiped from time completely,'' I said.

''So in other words we're stuck here,'' She said.

''Yeah, but why not enjoy this time here,'' I said.

''Why are you acting so calm this isn't like you,'' She said.

''To answer you're question I'm keeping my mind at ease so that's why I seem so calm,'' I said.

''Okay, so what now?'' She asked.

''See if we can find a place to live for now if not I'll build someplace where we can live,'' I said.

    We began to walk out of the forest and soon appeared next to a village that was well hidden from the rest of the towns near here. I felt all sort of energies here from Shadow user to spell-casters to humans who were part monster. Then out of nowhere three phoenixes came soaring at us when we heard them screech and one man came stepping out into view. They landed on his arms and he said, ''Sorry about that they get out when I'm not looking and they like seeing new people especially people who come from another time.''

''How did you know we from the future?'' Caeleigh asked.

''Cause you don't look like everyone else who's here,'' He said.

''Okay and I thought Phoenixes were extinct by this time?'' I asked.

''They almost were if wasn't for me and a few others in my family,'' He said. ''What are your names?''

''I'm Logan,'' I said.

''I'm Caeleigh,'' She said.

''Nice to meet the both of you. My name's John Bennett,'' He said.

''Logan could this be who Brittney was talking about?'' Caeleigh asked me.

''Yeah, this is him,'' I said.

''People around here call me the Phoenix King cause I raise Phoenixes and after I die the Phoenixes will die out,'' He said.

''Is there anywhere here that we can live in?'' Caeleigh asked.

''Yeah two houses down from mine. No one lives there they say things about a sword near there that corrupts people,'' He said.

''Caeleigh I want to talk to John alone,'' I said.

''Okay I'll be checking out the rest of the town while you and John talk,'' She said.

     In less than a minute John and I were alone. He walked over to me and I walked beside him asking, ''What did you mean the phoenixes will die out after you die?''

''All the others in my family for generations that will come won't have the power to raise Phoenixes or if they do they're not going to know what to do with it,'' He said.

''Do you want Caeleigh and I to raise the Phoenixes for you?'' I asked.

''You barely know me though,'' He said.
