Shadow's Final Adventure

Part 20

(Shadow's P.O.V)

    After I bandaged Mrs. Pridemore up I walked around outside for a bit before I started thinking about why I saved her. 'Why did I save Mrs. Pridemore? A normal Shadow user would've let her die if they didn't know her, but why didn't I let her die? Is it because of something in the past or is it because of my feelings?' I thought.

    I stopped thinking about that and stabbed Ryu into the ground. Then I climbed the tree behind me and sat on one of the highest branches. I let my mind wander for a bit until I wanted to climb down from where I was sitting.

    I climbed down and picked Ryu up sheathing his blade. I walked into the cabin and saw Mrs. Pridemore up and she looked my way. She said, ''Why did you bring me here, Logan?''

''Look at your chest and I'll explain why,'' I said.

    She did as I said and looked at me again. She said, ''How did I end up with bandages around my chest?''

''You don't remember do you?'' I asked.

''Remember what?'' She asked.

''You almost died back at school,'' I said.

''What that's impossible,'' She said.

''No it's not. When you woke up did you notice the sword that was next to you right?'' I asked.

''Yeah what about...'' She stopped dead in her tracks looking at me. Then said, ''Where's Senbonzakura?''

''He told me that the only way you'd survive is by me piercing you through the heart so I did and you're back to normal. He'll be back but not for awhile,'' I said.

''That's why I have a zanpakuto then. You saved me from dying, but why would you save my life you barely know me,'' She said.

''How should I explain it long and simple or the complex way?'' I asked.

''The simple way,'' She said.

''Okay, so you remember when I showed you my past right?'' I asked.

''Yeah, why are you asking?'' She asked.

''Cause not only does it let you see my past, but I can see your past as well,'' I said.

''Why tell me this now and not then?'' She asked.

''Cause I didn't know it at the time that I showed you my past. I found out recently. It's either that or something else that makes me protect and save you,'' I said.

''Since you know my past can you promise me something?'' She asked.

''Yeah,'' I said.

''Promise me that you won't hurt me in any way,'' She said.

''I promise,'' I said.

    That's when Kami no Ki appeared next to me and said, ''Have you made your mind up yet?''

''What exactly is that?'' Mrs Pridemore asked.

''This is Kami no Ki, and not yet to your question, Kami. I still got a question to ask Mrs. Pridemore before I make a descision,'' I said.

''What you are talking about?'' She asked.

''So after I came back from hell I was thinking about what Kami said at the Old Pittsburg hospital,'' I said.

''What did he say?'' She asked.

''He told me this 'I can you and Erica into arrancars with resurreccion forms if you like'. Since I walked out of hell I've thinking about that but I wanted to ask you if you would still think of me the same as you do now if I did become one,'' I said.
