Makas P.O.V

it all hurt. but mostly my back, it burnt like hell. I was sleeping but I could tell something was happening outside my sleeping world, something that made the pain less intense. suddenly everything went darker than it already was, but I could hear something, or someone. it began to get louder and louder, it was a piano. I looked around and at first I could see nothing, but as the music got louder, the room got brighter. the room I was in was red and black themed, the flooring was red and black checkered, there was a red and black couch, and in the center of the room, there was a black piano. the music was sad, and at first there seemed to be nobody at the piano, but after a moment Soul appeared playing, rhythmically with the sound that was pulsing in my ears. I walked up to the piano and just listened to him play, it was depressing, why did soul have a reason to be sad? suddenly i felt like i was being picked up and soul and the room disappeared and i was alone again. I could feel the pain again, and my heart hurt, I let out a shriek of pain as everything went numb.

Souls P.O.V

no they couldn't take her away. why couldn't I come with? doctors pushed me away as I tried to stay with my myster. i pushed through the doctors, but then one of them stuck a needle in my arm and everything went black again.

Makas P.O.V

where was soul, where was I? my brain was functioning but I felt very... light and cold. if a person could feel like a cloud that is what I was right now. then it felt like I hit my head hard on something, then I opened my eyes to see people in doctor gowns and masks. I blinked rapidly and suddenly I could hear voices, "SHE'S AWAKE!" " hurry someone get her on more morphine!" I could only make out so much.  that was when I noticed I was not wearing a shirt, I tried to move but I felt a searing pain in my stomach, I yelled out in pain and then I saw a face that I knew, doctor Stine. I smiled up at him the best I could, he put his hand on my head and said something to a doctor. he looked down at me again but I could tell something was wrong. then I heard a door slam, people were yelling at someone, but the light of the room slowly faded and then I was engulfed in darkness once again.

Souls P.O.V

I woke up in a hospital bed, I was sleepy but other than that, I was fine. then I remembered Maka. I sat up remembering her and my hands began to sweat. where is she? why couldn't I come on with her? none that mattered now, I just needed to find her. I stood up and ran out of the room, looking in all the rooms down the halls of the hospital, I couldn't find her. I saw a doctor running down a hall and I began to follow him, I mean I didn't have anywhere else to look. he ran out a door that led outside to a sky walk, then into the next door building. he needed a code to open the door, and then he entered the building. I grabbed the door before is shut and wated a minute to enter until I was sure nobody had seen me. I entered after a moment and on the wall in front of the door were the letters ICU (intensive care unit). there was a group of doctors that hurried into a room that was left of the door I had entered through. I peeked into the room that they had gone into and saw Maka laying on a stretcher. I slammed the door open and all the doctors looked at me, it was quiet for a moment, then a doctor started yelling at me, telling me to get out of there before he called the police. I just started at him then at Maka, I was determined not to leave my mysters side. then Stine walked up to me as other doctors continued to buzz around Maka. he grabbed me by the shoulder and led me out of the room and closed the door. we sat down on a bench a fue feet from the door and he began to speak, "Maka has many injuries, internal bleeding, a punctured lung, and a lot of other serious injuries." "it will be a while before she can leave, if she survives." I shuddered at the word 'if'. I looked at him and could feel his worry. he continued, "she doesn't have enough blood to keep her alive, she is going to need a blood transfusion. and there's a problem." "What? what's the problem?" he cleared his throat, "nobody has donated her blood type in over three years." "well, what about mine? do I have her blood type?" I could tell Styne was thinking. "I can check, but it will take awhile to find out if there is a match." I stood up and looked around, "where do we half to go?" "what?" "to get blood tests or what ever, WHERE DO WE GO?" Stine stood up and walked over to a door and got out a key. "in here". I followed him into the room and he took a sample of my blood, which I did not enjoy, but it was for Maka so it didn't matter. Stine told me to go home, he said he would keep me updated with Maka, so I went home.
