Fall In Love Again

I've been through many heartaches,

Experienced many heartbreaks.

Cried gallons of tears,

Drank glasses of beers.

Still, my heart is beating.

Damaged, but still working.

Hoping to find someone worth living,

I'll never stop believing.

But I'm afraid to fall in love again,

For my heart can't take more pain.

So scared to be broken,

Not yet ready to be taken.

"Will I fall in love again?"

I ask that question again and again.

But we can't tell what the future will bring,

I'm hoping, it's not just a fling.

And then, there was you,

One of the chosen few,

Like the morning dew,

Ready to give a love so true.

You came to my life,

And pull all the knife,

That's hurting me inside,

And stayed by my side.

You proved that you're worth the chance,

And won't settle for a second glance.

You're not like any other men,

Now I can say, I'm ready to fall in love again.
