The Police came 10 minutes after what happened and evacuated everyone out of the school. They put barricades at the entrance. I saw as the cops arrested Andrew and the paramedics Danny on a strecher and put him in a ambulance. They didn't inform us if Danny was alive or dead. It was crazy how in one day, everything can go to shit.
Kate was next to me crying.
(Kate)" Why would Andrew do something like that?"
(Wade)" I don't know, babe. We should go, I don't think I can take another minute here."
We started walking toward my car and then saw a bunch news vans pull up in the parking lot.
I drove to my house with Kate. She told me she wanted to stay with me. Once me and Kate enter my house, my mom heard us come in and walked toward us and gave me a big hug.
(Mom)" I heard what happened on the news honey, I'm sorry."
(Wade)" Thanks, Mom."
After hugging me, she hugged Kate. Ever since she met Kate, she liked her.
(Mom)" Do you guys need anything?"
(Wade)" Nah, we're good."
Me and Kate walk upstairs to my room and sit down on my bed.
(Kate)" Do you think Danny is going to be okay?"
(Wade)" I hope so, he's a tough guy. It's just he's dealing with so much in his life just for our best friend to stab him and maybe kill him."
(Kate)" Can we leave in a bit to my house please?"
(Wade)" Of course, let me just pack."
I get up and begin to pack all my clothes and other stuff I need into my dufflebag. My mom then calls me from downstairs.
(Mom)" Wade!! There's some detectives here!! Come down here!!"
(Kate)" What are detectives doing here?"
(Wade)" I don't know, come on. Let's go down."
I pack the rest I need then go downstairs. While going downstairs, I see 2 detectives waiting at the door. One looked Spanish and the other was white.
(Wade)" Yes?"
(Detective 1)" Hello, I'm Detective Rodriguez and this is my partner Detective Baker. We work for the NJPD and we want to bring you in for questioning."
(Wade)" Okay. Is it okay if I drive my car there?"
(D. Rodriguez)" Sure, just follow us. We'll be waiting."
They walked away.
(Wade)" Mom, I'm going to Kate's house after this and staying over the weekend."
(Mom)" Okay, be careful."
I knew she felt very bad for me by the sound of her voice. Me and Kate say bye, enter the car, and follow the detectives.
