We finally get to Kate's house after driving for about 15 minutes. We didn't really talk much in the car after she gave me the note. We just sat down on the couch in the living room and watched some tv. Then, Kate got a call.
(Wade)" Who is it?"
(Kate)" It's Nick. Wonder what he wants."
She picks up the phone and begins to talk to Nick.
(Kate)" Hey, Nick. What's up?"
After saying those words, I saw her face expression change from happy to confused.
(Kate)" Why? What's going on?"
She grabs the TV remote right next to her and begins to change the channel.
(Kate)" Okay, I'll check it out now. Bye."
She hangs up the phone.
(Wade)" What happened? What he say?"
(Kate)" He just told me to turn on the news."
She switches to Channel 7 News.
(News Reporter)" Earlier this morning, 16-year old Andrew Everett escaped from his jail cell without a trace. Our sources also say that some evidence has disappeared to including Andrew Everett's phone and the knife he used to try to kill 16-year old Danny Shaw."
(Wade)" Holy shit!"
(Kate)" Oh my god, how did he escape?!"
(Wade)" I don't know. I need to go home now."
(Kate)" What?! Your going to jut leave me here by myself?"
(Wade)" I'm sorry, babe. I really need to back home."
I kiss her, grab my bag, and leave.
(Kate)" Bye."
(Wade)" I'll call you later, promise."
I open the door and leave her house.
