Carl’s POV
As I walked near the kitchen may naamoy akong familiar na amoy ng pagkaen, Yeah, it’s too familiar to the point that I can’t forget that reciepe though hindi ko sya kayang lutuin. Ayon din dapat yung lulutuin ka kanina kaso, di nga ako marunong kahit na tinuro na yun sakin for many times. Asking what is it? It’s a simple “SEAFOOD PAELLA” with a twist. Which was passed in our family for generation. Dad thought me that dish when I turned 8, pero wala akong hilig sa pagluluto kaya ayun hindi ko magawa gawa. But then as I enter the kitchen mas lalo ko itong naaamoy. Bakit alam nya ang lutong iyon? Does she know my dad? But how? I don’t know but my tears suddenly flow from my eyes. Shesaw me again crying like a baby, but I don’t know why pero parang ayos lang sakin naumiyak basta sya lang ang nakakakita. Ewan ko eto nanaman tong strange feeling na ito.
“Why are you crying AGAIN?” She asked, with a weird face.
“Nothing, I just remembered a dishwhich smells like this.” I said as I point out the seafood paella on the table.
“This? Ow, before I forgot this is a dish from my friend. This is called SEAFOOD PAELLA with a twist” She said, leaving my jaw dropping.
“That was the dish of my father.”
“Really? Tatay mo si Kuya Roger?” She asked. Kuya?? She called my dad kuya??
“How are you related to him?”
“He stands as a big brother for me, sya yung lagi kong kasama since I started to enter the Underground world”
“Really?” I asked, kasi parang mas marami pa syang alam kay dad kesa sakin.
“Yes, wanna know how?”
“Can I?” I asked.
“I’ll tell you the story while we are eating, I think you really missed this dish.”
“Yeah, I really do.” I said sadly.
“Don’t be sad, cheer up baka tamadin ako magkwento nan sige ka." I said para akong bata tapos sya yung nanay na pinipilit magkwento.
Bumuntong hininga sya at lumabas yung mga matang magaganda. Yung mga matang hindi ka aayaw pag tinitigan ka. She keep silent for a minute then she smiled….
Aemie’s POV
I smiled. But deep inside I’m hurt. Ibabalik ko nanaman yung alaalang yun. Na naiwan nanaman ako ng mahal ko sa buhay. It’s hard but I’ve revenged already so it’s quits.
“I was only 6 when I started being a gangster, It was hard, my father was not there to support me because he’s busy doing things just to know who killed my mom. Yung mga batang kasing age ko, after our sessions they play but they didn’t invite me. The always says ‘yan yung anak nung namatay na empress’ at ‘yan yung anak ni emperor’. They are afraidto play with me kasi daw pag ako na ang empress baka pahirapan ko sila kapag nadali nila ako or pinaiyak nila ako. So in the end, I just ran to the nearest park and sat at one of the swings and cry. I think it became my hobby since I was a kid. But one day, that think happened again. They pushed me away so I ran to the park ang cry at the same swing, the difference is I suddeny felt the rain dropping in my skin.” I said coldly, I became cold again out of no where. I know he is listening. I will do this for the first time to ease the pain I am keeping inside my body through the years.
“I don’t move I never moved, I just thought that the clouds are also sad for me. That the clouds are helping me to ease the pain I am handling. The rain poured harder and harder every minute. But I suddenly felt that I am not getting wet anymore. I looked up and I saw a man holding an umbrella with a smile wearing on his face. I know he is a mafia because of the necklace he is wearing he is about 20+ I think. We went home and he talked to my father, after that everyday he always went to our house to bring me to school. He became my friend so on, He told me to call him ‘KUYA ROGER’” I said with a bitter smile on my face, as the story gets longer and longer I feel the sadness lingering all over my body.
“Kuya Rogerwas nice he became my second father when I was in states, he told me pa nga about you. He told me na yung anak nya daw ka age ko, we have the same attitudes daw, cold and cry baby. He really missed you that time, he became a playmate for me, kasi nga nilalayuan ako nung mga kalaro ko. He became a brother, he always fight for me. He thought me their families originally made Paella. He go to school whenever I get bullied. It lasted for 5 years. But one day, Everything was uncontrolled, everything was ruined. He told me not to go out of my room because the enemies are already down to our HQ. He went out, I don’t want to but he did. Gusto kong lumaban pero ayaw nya.” I said with a husky voice hindi ako iiyak.
“I heard to many gun shots, shouts and bombs but the thing that almost ruin my world is when I heard him say my name. Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko. I went out with two pistol on my both hands. Habang papunta ako dunsa pinanggalingan nung sigaw nya I killed to many mafias’ others are holding small guns some are holding shot gun. And suddenly my face brightened when I saw him fighting. I watched him. But suddenly, one of his underling, well I guess it was his bestfriend. Was being hold by the enemies. Kuya Roger was shocked that time. He don’t know what to do. He asked the enemies what they need, but suddenly Kuya Roger pulled the trigger and made the leader gain pain, the same what he did to the other members.I thought everything was fine when suddenly the leader grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger while pointing to Kuya Roger’s bestfriend. Kuya roger ran towards his bestfriend and covered him. Making him have the shots which was supposed for his bestfriend.” I said.
“I quikly grabbed my gun and run near the leader, he was about to shot me when I suddenly shot his hands which he was using to hold his gun giving him more pain. I walked near Kuya Roger and he told me he love me, he told me to be a good girl before he lost his breath. I went near that BASTARD who kille my kuya. I grabbed his collar and asked his Clan it was ‘Moon PHOENIX” after that I pulled the trigger to his head and left him cold. I We studied about the clan and planned our revenge, after few days, Moon PHOENIX was erased from the mafia world. We planned to bomb their HQ, it was too easy everyone of them died. Even their leader.” I said angrily.
“I killed every single person in their clan. With that I felt relieve, I’m now complete I continued doing my trainings at first it was hard without Kuya Roger in my side but I remembered I can’t see him but still I can feel him.” With that I am really happy. Nailabas ko lahat ng kinikimkim ko for 5 years. Lahat lahat, ifelt kuya roger is happy now.
“My dad is happy now don’t you worry.” He said while looking outside.
“Oo siguro nga pano ba naman kasi gustong gusto mo yung Paella naubus mo eh. -_-“
“Oppps, HAHA Sorry. Pagluluto nalang kita mamaya.”
“No, thanks baka magkasakit ako sa lulutuin mo.”
“Ang harsh mo.”
“I know.”
“Tara gagala?” He asked out of no where.
“Saan?”
“ Dito sa bahay gagala tayo sa loob ng bahay.”
“Sorry I’m slowpoke okay?”
“Sa labas mag pipicnic tayo”
“Okay.”
Then we prepared our clothes for our picnic. We also prepare foods. We also planned to have swimming so I brought some swimming out fits……
