Three weeks later.....
Takeru, Mako, Xianghua, Genta, Riyu and Kotoha were helping the kuroko get everything ready for Ryuunosuke and Chiaki's engagement dinner later tonight. As Riyu was lifting a heavy box, Takeru took it off her hands.
"Tono-sama and Riyu-kun make a cute couple."
Kotoha cooed, though in the back of her mind there was something that was bothering her.
"Yeah they do, even though they're both messed up at times." Mako replied.
"Is everything in preparation?" Jii asked the six remaining Shinkengers. They all shook their heads in agreement.
"I'm gonna meet Chiaki at the arcade." Xianghua said.
"I'll come with you." Kotoha piped up. Xianghua smiled as she and Kotoha went out of the Shiba Mansion.
"This is gonna be one hell of a engagement dinner." Riyu chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Takeru's waist. Little did she knew, that she was going to be one-hundred percent right.
Later that night...the Shinkengers and Jii were in the den enjoying a Japanese traditional engagement dinner. Takeru, Ryuunosuke, Chiaki and Genta all wore hakamas while Riyu, Mako, Kotoha and Xianghua wore traditional kimonos obviously in their signature colors.
"Tono-sama! You did all of this for Chiaki and I?" Ryuunosuke piped up. Takeru shook his head.
"All of us did." Mako answered.
"Thank you all so much!" Ryuunosuke bowed to them.
"Thanks a lot!" Chiaki said as he held Ryuunosuke's hand gently. As they finished eating, the kuroko took all the dirty dishes to wash. Mako got up and assisted them. Kotoha turned to Takeru.
"Ummm.....Tono-sama. There's something I need to ask you." Takeru looked at Kotoha questionably.
"Is something the matter?"
"Oh no! Everything's alright! Last night....I couldn't sleep so I went out to the courtyard to play my flute. That always helps me feel sleepy but when I came back in....I saw a man exiting your room. Who is that man?"
At that moment, Riyu choked on her tea. Did she hear Kotoha right? Takeru froze. He was caught like a child getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"Excuse me." Riyu stood up and walked away from everyone.
"Riyu wait!" Takeru ran after her. Kotoha had a sad look on her face. "Did I say something wrong?"
Chiaki patted the yellow Shinkenger's back. "No you didn't."
Riyu ran out to the courtyard before Takeru caught up to her.
"Riyu please! Let's talk!"
"Talk? You wanna talk? Okay let's talk! You lied to me! For three fucking weeks you lied straight to my goddamn face!" The two didn't notice the rest of the Shinkengers watching this unfold.
"Riyu....."
"Oh what were you gonna say? That you tried. Not good enough. You were screwing that Kamen Rider again! Behind my damn back! Were you two laughing at me after you got done fucking?!"
"That's not true."
"Then tell me what is?!!" Riyu began to cry. Takeru grabbed her arms in an attempt to calm her down but Riyu was squirming in his grasp.
"Don't touch me.....don't touch me."
"Riyu let me talk to you."
"NO! There's nothing to fucking talk about! I thought you really loved me!"
"I do-....."
"No you don't, because if you loved me then you would've kept your promise." Silence felled between Takeru and Riyu, all the while the rest of their comrades looked on.
"Should we even be doing this?" Xianghua whined, feeling uncomfortable that they were eavesdropping on them.
"Not really but I like the drama. This is better than a soap opera!" DaiGoyou chirped, earning a irritated groan from the other Shinkengers.
"I rest my case." Xianghua mumbled.
Riyu wiped the angry tears from her face, not caring if her eyeliner was everywhere on her face now. "Riyu...." Takeru tried to apologize but Riyu put her hand up.
"Don't say it, sorry's not gonna fix it....I'm so tired of feeling this way knowing that you don't feel the same way that I do." Riyu said sadly.
"We're done." She mumbled as she walked out of the Shiba Mansion, leaving the gates. Kotoha piped up
"Tono-sama?" Takeru turned around and his retainers were shocked to see that he was crying. Only once they saw him cry in a whole different situation but this was a very serious situation. Takeru walked back into the Shiba Mansion. Mako tried to follow but Genta stopped her.
"Let Take-chan be alone." Mako shook her head as she looked sorrowfully.
"Well that was some engagement dinner." DaiGoyou said.
Riyu sat down in a park bench, letting the wind blow in her face. She looked at her Shodophone and screamed angrily at the top of her lungs.
