My mind was still reeling from hearing the news from MaKayla. Have she had said it out loud she had broken down. We had sat in that magical place that was created out of love while I held her to cry all her tears out. With each sob that wracked her body a piece of my heart broke for her. I knew she had to feel alone and lost but most of all scared. If I had just found out I was pregnant I'd be terrified out of my mind. Not to mention there's really no records to look to for information about babies that are half magical and half werewolf. God, I was terrified for her. It was a good thing that my parents were the ones that had duty tonight. They wouldn't get back until late. MaKayla didn't want me to say anything yet which I understood but I couldn't lie either. I needed time to get my game face on for this one.

As I was laying there I heard my phone ringing again. It had been doing that off and on for a while. I knew it was probably Erika since I had never made it to school today. I knew she was probably worried, I rolled over and saw that the sun was now gone. I had laid in this same position for hours now. My phone started going off again, followed by my door bell ringing. I moved to grab the phone. Erika's picture bounced around the screen. I hit answer as I made my way down the stairs. Before I could even say hello she said "It's about time! I've been worried sick over here!"

I swung the door open to see my best friend standing there with pizza, soda and movies in her hands as well as her back pack. She was dressed in her lounge clothes but she looked way too good in them. I never knew how girls could look that good dressed in yoga pants and t-shirt. Her long blonde hair was piled on top of her head. Her blue eyes studied me for a minute but it didn't take long for her to figure out something was wrong. Before I even had time to think she was inside and hugging me. I don't know why but now it was my turn to cry uncontrollably. She stood there while my tears wet the shoulder of her shirt. Once I was done she shut the door and grabbed the food and headed upstairs.

Erika hadn't asked questions yet but I knew they were coming. Once we were situated she turned to look at me. "Want to talk about it?"

I took a drink of my soda, I did want to talk about it but MaKayla didn't want me to say anything. But I was also certain that she wouldn't say anything. She had kept bigger secrets than this, I was so scared for MaKayla and everything was just piling up. "What I'm going to tell you can never leave this room, at least until MaKayla wants it out, ok?" She nodded in agreement she understood that it was important. "She's pregnant."

Erika was frozen with a piece of pizza in her hand in midair. That was clearly not what she had expected to hear. Finally, she blinked and put the pizza back on the plate. "Is that even possible? And by who?"

"Apparently it is and by Amadeus." I replied.

Her eyes went wide with shock. Yep, I was pretty sure that was my look when MaKayla told me. "When?' she asked sounding slightly horrified.

"My birthday. It's a long story but she's scared and I don't blame her. She doesn't want to tell anyone yet."

"Lips are sealed" Erika said leaning over and extending her pinkie finger. I locked mine around hers; this had become our thing lately. Anytime we had said something that we really meant we made a pinkie promise. It might be silly but I think for us, with everything going on right now it made us feel reassured that we had someone on our side.

After that we ate in silence for a while then I asked "Where's Riley?"

She shrugged but I could tell she was missing him too. "He's at another concert with Javi. I'm sure we'll all have a new shirt to add to our collection tomorrow." This was also a thing now. Javi and Riley were very seldom not together, most of their dates were to concerts. They were always generous enough to bring back four shirts, one for Sebastian, Erika, Garrett and me. Erika and I were happy for them, we loved to see them together and happy but we missed our friend too. The shirts were a nice gesture but it didn't really make up for his absence.
