Chapter 5: The first kiss

Annie pov:
OMG he held my hand! I don't know if he really likes me, but I'm pretty sure he does. Kenzie must not interest him anymore. I wonder why. I decided to text JoJo.
A: Hey!
J: Hey! What's up?
A: nothing, I was just wondering if Hayden has said anything about yesterday.
J: Yesterday? The mall? Yeah of course
A: well what
J: That's private, you know I keep my secrets
A: PLEASE
J: You'll find out! Well I gtg! Byee

Secret? What secret? What's happening! I'm so confused. What was happening. It was early afternoon and I was in a walking mood. I got my sneakers on and starting the trail towards the beach. I saw someone who looked like Hayden and makenzie. I decided I would go say hi.
Kenzie pov;
Me and Hayden went on a private date. Things started getting serious when we almost had a first kiss. We stared at each other as my back was against fence and he was in front of me. When I ALMOST went in Annie came running yelling "Hey Hayden! Hey Kenzie!" Hayden turned and smiled. They ran in for a hug. "Nice to run into you Annie!" He said. Annie nodded and looked at me and waved. "Hey kenz!" I looked at her strait in the eye and said "That's Makenzie to you." Hayden looked a little hurt. I don't know why! I was talking to Annie! Annie invites him and me to walk with her. Hayden agrees. I say no and walk passes them.
Hayden's pov;
Yes! Annie came! I didn't want my first kiss to be Makenzie. I want it to be Annie. Me and her walk and talk. Our hands suddenly touch. We look at each other, but don't pull away. We walk around the beach and come back. "Well she left the picnic here, hungry?" I laughed. "I could eat!" She says. We eat up the food. I have a lot to say that I can't. But, I really want to. I decided I would let it out. What could go wrong? Right?
A: Annie H: Hayden
H: Annie I've been wanting to talk to you.
A: *thinks: OMG OMG OMG* yes hay?
H: I really like you.
A: I feel the same way.
H: but I can't break her heart. We need to keep this a secret.
A: okay!

Annie pov;
OMG! He likes me and we're secretly dating! We hug and talk. I ask why she was mad. He said they were about to have there first kiss. "Omg I'm so sorry!" I say. "Oh it's fine, she's not the girl I wanted to remember being my first." Hayden says smiling. "I have someone in my mind too!" I say and smile at him. We both lean in. It turns into a make out. Wow that was just the first kiss I was looking for. The sun was setting. Out of breath we look at each other and hug tight. It will be hard to keep this a secret. I love him. I want the world to know I love him. But I cant. What will he tell Kenzie?
