(Emery's P.O.V)
I sit on the pier, looking out over the water. Footsteps get my attention and I look behind me, seeing a small framed figure walking towards me.
"Emery?" Skylar's voice asks softly and I quickly get to my feet, walking over to her.
"I'm so sorry." I say sadly, opening my arms for a hug.
"It's okay." She says hugging me tightly. I rub her back slowly, wishing I could make her happy again. I hold her close to me until she lets go, wiping her eyes and sniffling.
"You okay?" I ask softly.
"I'm tired, cold, basically miserable, I gave up my job to try and make things work, but as you can see, I'm standing here and I look like a zombie." She says and I hold in my laughter.
"Well here, wear this. And for the record, I think you'd make a cute zombie." I smile at her, giving her my sweatshirt. She takes it and puts it on, pulling the hood up and zipping it.
"Come on, I'll take you home." I tell her, making her nod as she follows me. She grabs her bag from the bench and continues to follow me out to my car. I unlock it and open the door for her, letting her get in before I shut the door.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" I ask as I get in, starting the car and turning on the heat for her.
"Can we go bowling?" She asks softly.
"Yep." I smile, driving out of the parking lot and downtown Hollywood. I drive to the bowling alley and park the car, getting out and going around and opening Skylar's door, letting her out, shutting the door and locking it before putting the keys in my pocket, following her inside.
"Two." I tell the guy behind the counter. He nods and asks for our shoe sizes, getting our bowling shoes and handing them to us. We take them and put them on, picking out the bowling balls we want. We go to our assigned lane and Skylar slides on the floor, making me laugh as I catch her.
"Oops." She giggles, making me laugh. She walks the rest of the way to the lane, setting her stuff on the chair. I grab a ball and wait for her.
"Okay go." She says standing behind me. I take my turn and get all the pins except one.
"Dang it!" I say, making her laugh as she gets ready to take her turn. She rolls and gets every pin except three, making her groan.
"Don't worry, you'll get a strike. Remember, 'it's all in the wrist'." I smile, remembering what she told me the first time we went bowling. She giggles and pushes me slightly, making me smile at her.
"How did you remember that?" She asks curiously.
"It's one of those things I'll never forget. It's a lot like meeting your favorite celebrity. You never forget it." I shrug, making her smile at me again.

(Skylar's P.O.V)
"It's one of those things I'll never forget. It's a lot like meeting your favorite celebrity. You never forget it." He shrugs, making me smile at him. I start to forget about everything and I finally feel happy again, his jokes making me laugh harder than ever before.
"That's so stupid." I giggle, making him laugh.
"It made you laugh! I've done my job!" He says, making me giggle again. He takes his turn, this time getting a strike, doing an adorable happy dance.
"Sorry." He says blushing slightly.
"It's cool." I smile, nudging him with my elbow. He smiles at me and I take my turn, getting a strike.
"Yay!" I giggle, dancing and slipping on the floor, falling on my side. I start laughing and Emery tries helping me up but he starts laughing too hard. I fall back over, laughing at him.
"You-." He says laughing again, holding his stomach. I giggle and he holds his hand out for me, pulling me to my feet. We both continue to laugh for a while before finally calming down. I go get a drink of water and check my phone, seeing a message from Ricky. I read the first two words before responding with "look who you sent this to." I sigh and throw my phone in my bag, Emery looking over at me.
"You alright, Sky?" He asks worriedly.
"Can you get my prom stuff from Ricky's mom? I would but I don't want to see him for a while." I say, making Emery nod.
"No worries, I'll get it for you." He says, making me smile slightly. I push the message out of my head and I laugh Emery takes his next turn, missing all the pins except one.
"Damn." He says, making me giggle.
"Just get your spare. Aim for the middle." I tell him and he nods, rolling the ball again, hitting the middle and knocking down all the pins.
"You're amazing." He says turning to me.
"Yeah, okay." I scoff, picking up my ball and getting ready to take my turn.
"It's the truth." He says from right behind me, making me jump slightly. He chuckles and takes a step back, giving me space to take my turn. I roll the ball and it just misses the middle, knocking over all the pins except the two on each end. I frown and turn around, running right in to Emery.
"Oh, hi." I giggle nervously.
"Hi." He says smiling, hugging me gently. I smile and hug him back, letting go so he can take his final turn. I sit in the chair, watching him roll a strike again. I smile at him, watching him do another happy dance. I giggle as he walks back to me, sitting beside me and changing his shoes. I do the same, getting my phone out and turning the camera on.
"Em." I giggle, making him look at me before he leans over and makes a silly face, making me giggle as I take the pic. He smiles for the next one, laying his head against mine. I smile too and take the pic, locking my phone again and putting it back in my bag. I get up, grabbing the bowling shoes and waiting for Emery. He grabs his shoes and catches up with me, walking back to the rental return booth.
"Have a good night!" The guy behind the counter says to us.
"Thanks, you too!" Emery says to him as he opens the door for me. I smile and walk out, fixing my bag on my shoulder.
"Now where do you want to go?" He asks curiously, making me giggle.
"Disneyland!" I joke, making him smile.
"I'll take you next Friday." He says and I giggle.
"I was kidding but okay!" I say and he smiles at me. I giggle as he stops in front of me, wanting me to get on his back. I jump up, wrapping my arms around his neck loosely. He puts his arms under my legs, looking back at me.
"Good?" He asks and I nod, laying my head on his shoulder.
"Thank you for hanging out with me." I say after a minute or two of silence.
"Anytime. It's the least I could do after seeing you so upset." He says and I smile slightly.
"Remember when I asked you to get my prom dress?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah?" He says, looking at me.
"Turns out he's going with someone else." I sigh, starting to feel sad again.
"That's low. I never thought he was that way." Emery says shaking his head.
"I didn't either. Guess we were both wrong." I say, laying my head on his shoulder again.
"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you." He says smiling at me. I smile back and nod, kissing his cheek gently. Maybe accidents really do happen when it comes to stuff like this.....
