Anon on Tumblr--

Aleks & reader being neighbors?

You've got it! It'll be kinda short, but I can always go on, if requested.

Enjoy :)

(Y/H = Your hometown)

----------->

Your P.O.V.

"That's the last of 'em!" the mover calls to you. You wave to him and smile.

You had just moved to Los Angeles from Y/H and this was a big step for you. You left behind your family and moved out on your own. You were so excited.

The landlord had called you for the third time this week to fill you in on your neighbors. He assured you that everyone around you were your age, so you'd make new friends in this city.

You walked around the building to your front door. Opening it, you gaze around at the wrapped up furniture and boxes scattered around. You sigh, getting ready to unpack every single box. You unwrapped the couch first, just so you'd have somewhere to sit and game. Then, you quickly found the box containing said gaming consoles and set them up in the living room.

Your phone vibrated on the counter. You unlocked it, reading the message from your mother.

Hope you made it safely! Let me know how it is :)

You smile and typed out a quick message.

Yep! It's great. I'll have to have you out sometime.

You sat the phone back down and finished snacking on some food you grabbed for the trip. Suddenly, you hear some knocking at the door. You scrunched your eyebrows, confused. You apporached the door, looking through the peep hole. You see a blond man in a tank top and dark glasses, tattoo sleeves gracing each arm. You opened the door; he seemed friendly enough.

"Um, hi." You greeted, trying to discreetly wipe the crumbs from your hands.

"Hey, you're my new neighbor. I'm Aleks. I just wanted to, kind of, warn you. I stream on certain nights and can get kind of loud, so, there's that." He says. This wasn't really any of your business, but it was nice of him to warn you.

"I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you." You reply, shaking his hand. "I completely understand. Don't worry about it. If it gets too loud, for any reason, I can send you a text?"

"Sure. Can I take your number and I'll text you first?"

"Sure." You reply, punching your number into his phone.

"I'll see you around." He says, smiling. You noticed a slight blush spread across his pale face, presumably from scoring your number. You smile before shutting the door.

Your phone vibrates instantly. You turn it over, reading the message from an unknown number.

What up, it's Aleks

You smiled at how dumb it was before texting back.

What up, it's Y/N

You two began texting back and forth until you noticed the sun set behind the blinds of the condo. Your stomach also began to growl. You ordered some Chinese food from nearby. When it was delivered, you scarfed it down and threw the trash away. Noticing it was after 8, you hopped in the shower, already exhausted from driving most of the day.

As you changed into pajamas, you heard some faint yelling and groaning. You blew it off since it never happened again.

That is, until you laid your head down to sleep. It happened once, then twice. You knew exactly who it was, and you also knew that he caught himself every time it was louder than usual. You shot Aleks a quick text.

You streaming tonight?

You saw the typing bubble pop up and waited for the response.

Yeah, am I being too loud?

You typed back.

A little.

Again, you waited for a response back, most likely an apology.

I'm so sorry. I'll be quieter. I promise. Good night. Sweet dreams.

Did...did he just tuck you in?

You remember your mom saying the exact same thing to you years ago. You couldn't help but smile at the sentimental words. You decided to send a quick text back.

Good night, Aleks.
