Sabine woke with a start.
She'd been having a nightmare about a Death Eater coming and killing her and Ezra.
Looking over, she saw her brother sleeping peacefully in his bed. Beams of moonlight shining on him so she could see perfectly well he was okay. Scales was curled up on Ezra's pillow.  With a shaky sigh, she pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them. She was shivering slightly.
Her nightmare had been horrid.

"Sabine?"

The girl's head shot up and the gentle face of Hera looked at her.

"Hey Hera" she whispered.

"What are you doing awake?" Hera asked sitting on Sabine's bed.

"Woke up from a nightmare" Sabine replied quietly. Looking at the bed covers.

She felt Hera lay a hand on her shoulder and glanced up at her. The woman's face held concern and kindness.

"Why are you up?" Sabine asked.

"I came to check on you two" Hera replied.

"What time is it?"

"About two in the morning" Hera answered.

"Great. I'll probably never get back to sleep."

"I think I can help with that. Lie down."

Sabine did so.

Hera ran a hand though the young girl's hair.

"When the world is cold and nothing seems to right. I'll be beside you in the candle light. I promise, with all my heart, I want leave you alone in the dark. I'll be your guardian I'll light your way. Through the darkness to the dawn of day. When you need me just call out my name, and I'll be by your side."

Here's gentle voice calmed Sabine down. She snuggled deeper into the covers and closed her eyes. Listening to the lullaby.

"When the wind blows, and wolves howl, to the moon with the panthers yowl. Don't be afraid it's the wilds call. They're singing to you one and all. So close your eyes and ride on dreams. To unknown galaxy's on moonlit wings. Imagination is the key. To be spiritful, wild, hopeful and free. So when the world is cold and nothings seems to go right. I'll be beside in the candle light."

The girl breathed deeply and Hera smiled.

"It's okay Sabine. You don't need to worry. Kanan and I will always protect you."

Then very quietly she heard the girls faint, soft, reply.

"Good night mum."

I wrote the lullaby. What'd you think of it?
Suggestions are appreciated and welcome.
